Next Generation Console News: Xbox One, PS4, Wii U

What was the last console to come with two controllers? It's also across the room. Much easier to keep a spare set of batteries in the drawer or nearby.

Not that tough to keep a USB extension cord nearby either. To each their own.

That said, I don't think the prices are all that surprising or a big deal. It's a high-margin accessory that helps the manufacturer offset the low margin or loss that they absorb on the console. That high margin also means that it can go on sale. I've bought a couple PS3 controllers, and never paid more than $30 thanks to Black Friday specials.

and now you have an extension cord running across the room while you keep playing.

That said it is funny how many people still complain about chewing through batteries. Eneloops are the only way to fly

Playstation also has nice bundles with good games (God of War sets for instance)

Some of the best gaming memories with friends was when we had a huge sleepover and would play dynasties of NCAA or Careers if Madden. Or later when we would link up xbox's and play halo

I hate/love that some of the most fun times I had with my friends were LAN parties. Two really good friends of mine were brothers.. their parents were rich as fuck. They had two ridiculously big plasma TVs in their house. One was upstairs, one in the basement. We had an Xbox for each TV and hooked them up together outside through the windows. So we'd play Halo with one team downstairs and one team upstairs. It was fucking awesome. So nerdy, but so awesome. No screen watching bitches.

We'd literally play CTF on Blood Gulch for hours. We were all pretty good, so the games would last forever. Man, those were the times. When the biggest concerns in life were when their parents would be gone so we could either have a LAN party or an actual party. That basement also had a bar stocked with liquor and a tap in the wall behind the bar. God damnit I want to be 16 again.

I did this at my house as well. I had a pretty massive basement at my parents house and we had a plethora of TVs to use and my friends would bring theirs if need be. Most times we had 4 40+ inch TV's all system linked with 16 people in my basement playing Halo.

I had two large tables I would put together and a TV in each corner facing out so you each corner of the table had a team of 4 on it so no screen watching. The only problems we had was occasionally having to go flip the breaker because of all the electronics running in my basement lol
