I will find the links later but it's come out that no longer is the Kinect required to be connected for the system to run properly. So, another 180 for the xbox one. But you are still required to buy it as a system deal. More later, too rushed right now.:(

180 would be not including the kinect, saying it doesn't have to be connected at all times is a policy change

180, as in degrees, like saying "we're going in this direction and then saying we have changed our minds, we are going in the other direction." They even said that the kinect was intragle and vital to the experience and too important to not have functioning, and that they were "sticking to their guns" with the Kinect. These kinect value statements were even after the E3 and other press events. Now another change. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the xbox, but its like MS went to a high school economics class and said -here you kids; figure it out. It's like the product research and development spent endless hours developing the system and never once consider public reaction or approval. If I can find it ill post it, but in a recent article written about Apple and Jobs and what they didnwith the first iphone and then a cross comparison with MS and the Xbox One. Basically it says that both products are/were ahead of their time, both were restrictive in that they required the user to stay within a very defined ecosystem, and that both made the user pay handsomely, but... That Jobs did a brilliant job pointing out of positives, benefits, knew ideas, etc, etc. while MS has seemingly done the opposite, even to the point of seemly trying to undermine their own product. both strange and disappointing. I'm still hoping its great, but MS has put on a clinic for how NOT to handle a product's introduction to the buying public.

After reading it what you wrote, i do I agree with some, MS has done an awful job at explaining what they envision to the public, but on the flip side, I will refer to this post

Gaming community is childish, and Microsoft is awful at communicating with them.

While it's not worth getting upset about.. why would MS allow you to completely turn it off but then keep repeating it was required that you plug it in?

They are just.. fucking dumb... too dumb to figure out they are dealing with rampant childishness. They need to be far more simple and straightforward.

Essentially it's Lord of the Flies on the internet.. and companies can only hope to maybe be a Ralph on their own merits.. but one false move and they are Piggy for life and their competitor becomes Jack.

Analogy school is in session.
