I'm no expert, but from what I could gain from all of the recent articles, was not that the CPU bump really matter at all, but that the chip and the way it's build is so large and unknown that they really will not know it performance until they have hands on with it. Also, and the biggest unknown, was one of the critical elements of the chipset. They were making it seem that much of the possible performance levels will depend on what this unknown element is. IDK, but several tech-expert are now saying it "could be" stronger than first thought.An older article on extremetech on the XONE says that the increase in the CPU speed of the XONE won't matter one bit. I find it interesting that Sony hasn't released the clock speeds of the CPU and the GPU on the PS4. It also notes that the XONE is underclocked, possibly to allow for easier heat dissipation. The latter point is probable, because of M$'s experience with the red ring in the current X360. I read elsewhere (don't remember where) that the XONE is built like a truck (similar to the oritinal XBox). Hope that is true.
