Michigan State Spartans to unveil new logo in April | Gang Green - MLive.com
They're extending their imitation of the movie 300 to the point of copying the helmet. What's the difference? Am I missing something?
The notches are distracting. What's so great about the current logo that you would protest it being changed and what's their problem with the new one that looks essentially JUST like the old one?
I'm not sure if I'm encouraged or disappointed by the revelation that other fan bases can be as silly about uniform design as ours is.jwinslow;1655671; said:Amazing, someone actually listened when the fans complained about stupid changes by the worst innovator in uniforms today.

Josh, why do say Nike is the "worst innovator," when all the athletes I know think Nike is both effective and stylish in their designs? Nike stuff is usually re-designed for improved comfort, lighter weight, equal or improved protectiveness, and appeal to today's young athletes. Sorry it doesn't conform to your hidebound notions of "tradition," but maybe even you could accept the idea of function over form.
The only athletic gear companies that I think are superior to Nike in developing superior function in their clothing are Under Armour and lululemon, and both of those companies are much more limited in their offerings.
No shit....BUCKYLE;1655987; said:It's not a question of function vs form. Why can't we have both? If you can make all the technical advancements, go for it...just don't presume that because you came up with a jersey that's .85% lighter, you get to scrap a hundred years of fucking tradition and start from scratch with your own vision.
