New Uniforms/Nike Changes (Basketball)

I'm guessing we will.....tourney time always seems to be when new uni's are introduced. It looks as though the design of these are considered to go in effect for all nike schools eventually. Didn't we get the LBJ uni's right before the Big 10 tourney in '07? Does seem time for a new look. Other possibility is Nike is holding out till nxt season to roll out with new recruits.

Uh...why? Why should we change our look every couple years? Why should we give up the uniform that LeBron supplies to the team for free?

Sharp. Not a bad option for a school like theirs. I'd never want anything like that for Ohio State though.
The roadies aren't terrible, but the alternate home unis are.

I'm one of the bigger Nike defenders here...but these are completely awful. Adding the Tennessee Titans-style shoulders to a program with a stable uniform history? Terrible.
There's nothing stable about MSU's uniform history. They've tweaked and overhauled a number of solid designs.

Well, besides the Charles Rogers-era duds, they've been pretty conservative, even throughout the debacle of the mid-1990s. They aren't Bama, Texas or us...but neither are they Oregon, Wazzu or a myriad of other teams. Heck, they've probably had less changes than their big brother. Helmets are another story as they kept waffling on the Block S/Sparty head, award decals or not.

History of Michigan State Football Jerseys

Personally I like the jerseys. They kept the solid two-tone styling and implemented a simple shoulder panel look. I've been waiting for a school to take a conservative approach to this, and I think they did it quite nicely.

That being said, I think the gray trim should go, the arm band should be split like the rest of the sleeve with no wraparound cuff, and the font on the jersey could use a little toning down, but overall I think it gives them some identity while keeping a semi-throwback look.
