Game Thread Nebraska at tOSU, Sat. Oct. 26, 12pm ET, FOX

Something's not working, I definitely agree with you there, but Day wants to play physical, as show by his overly stubborn insistence on running in short yardage and an obsession with toughness post '21. I agree with OL recruiting, but again it hasn't been due to a lack of trying or caring.

If anything, he needs to get out of the macho bullshit mindset and let Kelly and the perimeter athletes work in short yardage.

As for Urban, this win would be one of his classic let down games. Day just hasn't had as many. From '15-'18 they had NIU (8-6), Minnesota (6-7), NW (7-6), MSU (3-9), Neb (4-8), Maryland (5-7). Urban preached toughness and it often fell on deaf ears resulting in letdowns and sometimes blowouts.

This team is far too inconsistent with too many issues for their experience and talent. It's easiest to say it's vibes or finess, but right now it's a fire drill at LT they might not be able to put out, I don't know what the fuck on defense. Day is in charge of unfucking this, whatever the issues, and if he doesn't he'll be gone soon.
I used to along with the Frye trying his best in recruiting and falling short, however, I lost that respect with the woefully inadequate amount of offers that went out, and OSU does not seem to value putting serious NIL towards the OL. There doesn't seem to be an effort placed in evaluating talent either.

If Day survives this season, Frye without a doubt needs walking papers.

I agree. Body language can say a lot, especially among kids that age. Something is off with this team.
Well to me some of it was coming out of the tunnel, but the really concerning part is when we're in a fight the players are just acting dejected or disinterested for the most part. I brought that up to everyone I was watching it with, that's a real problem and does indicate issues with the morale of the team.

I really don't have an issue with Day getting heated on the sideline, but the moment he choose to do it when we could lose the game with another 15 yard penalty is the issue I had. Of course we're pissed with the call and I think it was terrible, but don't compound the problem and lose a game over it.

With that said, all the other issues have my faith in Day seriously waning. I've defended him for a long time and I'm about done doing it. We've got a slate including PSU next week, Indiana and ttun. If we play like we did today we'll lose at least 2 of those games. The biggest problem I have with today is we come off a close loss on the road, have a bye week, and play Nebraska at home after they got beat by like 50 points against IU...and that's how prepared we were?

I have never seen or used a knee brace but is it not supposed to limit the lateral twisting of the knee preventing most ligament tears especially the ACL. I’ve seen OL go down with nasty leg injuries but it’s been a long time since I remember a OL going out with an ACL and having a knee brace on, for that to happen to two guys, I wonder what S&C is having them do that they have a muscle imbalance that makes them more susceptible than pretty much every other OL. Again just what I’ve seen, I’m sure someone’s gonna come with an injury list with 10-20 OL with ACLs. I’ll take that L if it’s the case.

A few comments to the tweet:

"Being committed to a school for 8 months and then switching up kinda feels like disrespect too but……"

"Committing to three different schools before ever playing a college down disrespects football and the nature of it"

"Does going to 3 High schools in 4 years & then committing & decommitting to 2 colleges before jumping ship at the last minute to a 3rd show respect to football? Asking for 4 schools."

"Yeah, not a good look when things get thrown on to the field. Need to be better than that. But that targeting call disrespects the nature of football as well, I’m afraid"

"It would probably not happen if refs were held accountable. There needs to be a better review process for these penalties. These officials are not consistent, therefore, players cannot confidently know what is or is not a penalty"

"How about when his dad stomped on a player’s leg in the league?"

and

"Thanks for throwing pick to end game".....
