Game Thread Nebraska at tOSU, Sat. Oct. 26, 12pm ET, FOX

That right there is the issue. Nebraska is 5 and 2. They aren’t elite but they may not have been as “shit” as us fans thought. Who knows. We expect to obliterate every team and if we don’t, fire everyone or we suck or ( insert gripe here). Was this performance bad, yeah not so great. Did we win, yep. Is there a problem, always a problem with every team in football. No teams unbeatable, this year especially. The Bucks just need to refocus and find a LT. A win is a win. I’m happy about that and look forward to the game next week vs PSU.
Yes, they are 5-2, now 5-3. This game should not have been this close. Oh well. Fix it before next week.

I have two problems:
1. Ryan Day isn’t beating the allegations
2. Everybody knew the o-line was a problem from top to bottom last year, the offseason, and to start the season - coaching, talent, ability, strength, mobility, depth, recruiting, performance. The only hope was Chip Kelly’s scheme would mask the issues. Not one thing was done at any point to bolster the o-line. You can’t just pick up a free agent mid season. This was obvious to the most casual of fan, especially after the bowl game last year. Again, Ryan Day isn’t beating the allegations.
We did pick up Seth but you’re right 1-2 others should’ve been something we really pressed.

Same for Harmon from Oregon. We should’ve went after that dude really hard.

If we are all being honest it looks like the OL is really going to be this teams tripping point. Hopefully we can get it figured out but who do we turn to really is the question?

OK. I'm a little calmer. Corn is a good team, and I understand that some games are just going to be closer than the point spread. This was clearly one of them. DL showed up the best that I've seen this year.

The one glaring weakness, and one that will proper fuck us against the pedsters and IU, is obviously the OL. If it is so weak that it is literally negating our stable of future NFL receivers, well I don't get paid seven figures to coach the foosball, so I don't know what the answer is, but Day and Chip had better figure it the fuck out.

OK, I just got home. They played the the replay of the targeting call several times from a couple different angles and it sure didn't look like targeting to me. I prefer to not have to go through 90 pages in this thread to see how any discussion on the call went. I'd just like to know what the FOX commentators said about the targeting call, i.e. good call or bad call?

Questionable.

I mean I don't know there's a team in the country that can survive two injuries to their LTs. Most teams don't have that kind of depth. Shit Bama was loaded at OL last year and could still barely field a functioning OL.

Team is going to have to dig deep if they want to accomplish their goals.
