Game Thread Nebraska at tOSU, Sat. Oct. 26, 12pm ET, FOX

What, exactly, would that be?
That Lou was right. I don't want to believe my eyes, but I am not sure what to make of this after a bye week. Like my other post said we have a top three roster, I feel like we're cheating the kids at this point. I'm not demanding 50 to nothing victories, but this does not remind me of the Ohio State teams filled with dogs from Cleveland and Cincinnati.

My disappointment lies in that we have a top three roster, arguably the best roster in football, and we are undisciplined, seemingly unable to adjust play to play, and have average special teams. I don't think that we're spoiled.

In all fairness to Ryan Day, Urban would have lost today 58-3 and had his head hanging choking on a heart attack.
He had his heart attack at Florida. At Ohio State, his brain broke.

Generally it's thought the best athlete (and possibly strongest) on a defense is the right defensive end
and we're already at choice #3 in our roster for the fellas that has to face the best players every play

I was surprised Zen was so unprepared for superior strength
Next week it'll be superior quickness
Jackson is the best of the OG/OT group... so that makes sense
Kinda like when we needed Zach Boren at LB more than we needed him at FB.. it worked out well
We may have better odds on a surprise replacement OG than finding what we need at LT

Ok now this is just silly. OSU would look like dog shit against WAY worse teams than this Nebraska squad at least once a year going back to the Tressel years.

Like I wasn't expecting the game to be this close but, even with Simmons, I kinda expected some struggles just because Nebraska had a pretty highly ranked defense coming into this game. Yeah they looked awful against Indiana but I figured that was an anomaly rather than what they were.

I have two problems:
1. Ryan Day isn’t beating the allegations
2. Everybody knew the o-line was a problem from top to bottom last year, the offseason, and to start the season - coaching, talent, ability, strength, mobility, depth, recruiting, performance. The only hope was Chip Kelly’s scheme would mask the issues. Not one thing was done at any point to bolster the o-line. You can’t just pick up a free agent mid season. This was obvious to the most casual of fan, especially after the bowl game last year. Again, Ryan Day isn’t beating the allegations.
Seth has entered the chat….

Not trying to be silly. I've listed my reasons that in my opinion are not silly and I do hope I'm wrong and we will sack up in our next big game and really leave "no doubt". My body is ready.

Both Smith and Egbuka each had only three catches. You have two receivers who could start in the NFL tomorrow, so it's absolute malpractice to get them the ball only six times combined.
Day told the sideline reporter coming back at halftime that they needed to run the ball and I knew things weren't going to be great. I didn't figure it'd be as bad as that 3rd quarter was, but I don't want to hear how we're going to force the run game DURING A GAME. Figure the run game out in practice next week, but call the plays that need to be called to win the current game that we're in.

Basically: Against Oregon the offense played good and the defense sucked. Against Corn the defense played good and the offense sucked. Go figure. Hopefully, both the "good offense" and "good defense" shows up against Penn State next week.

Regardless: Any ugly win is still better than any loss.
