My quick and concise thoughts on Dantonio's bitching.

He's a good coach.

However, he's not Jim Tressel and he's not Urban Meyer. He's solid. But there's a reason he'll spend the rest of his days in East Lansing. Maybe it sounds like butthurt on my part, but if Dantonio was half the coach that Urban is, Cincy would have been undefeated and playing in BCS bowl games (like Utah) under Dantonio's watch. He's solid...but he knows he's got an uphill battle if he wants to win in the homes of recruits and on the field.

Dantonio just needs to get over the fact that JT's not here anymore.

JT was the guy that could beat you 45-0 and you'd still want to go get a cup of coffee with afterward. Coach Meyer beats you 45-0 and you want to key "Son of a Bitch" into the side of his car.

Really, I always thought Coach Meyer was the guy who'd force you to waste practice time making up a TD celebration (as a team) to try to get some sort psychological advantage?

Funny thing about this whole thing (w/ Bielema & Dantonio): Most of the Big Ten has to recruit the state of Ohio.

Ohio State normally doesn't have to recruit the rest of the Big Ten states (built-in advantage).

It's funny. When Ohio State lost Pryor, Tress, and was going through all of the bs, MSU, Meatchiken, and Wisconsin had no problem snatching up kids that were more than likely going to/did commit to Ohio State. The minute they lose them, they cry foul.

I yield my time to Senator Buckeyevsworld.

"Its not fair he gets to recruit" they cried, "he's stealing our recruits they screamed".
Rodriguez got the same deal twice:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Rodriguez

Rodriguez was introduced by Michigan as its new coach at a news conference held on December 17, 2007
The existing coach took care of the bowl game. I cannot help it if the first several potential coaches turned them down, but the exiting coach resigned 2 days after losing THE GAME, if I remember right.

Following Rodriguez' tenure at CBS, he was hired as the 30th head coach of the Arizona football program on November 21, 2011.[//QUOTE]Admittedly, Arizona was not headed to a bowl.

Then cannot have it both ways:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judicial_estoppel
In the practice of law, judicial estoppel (also known as estoppel by inconsistent positions) is an estoppel which precludes a party from taking a position in a case which is contrary to a position they have taken in earlier legal proceedings.
In summary, there is no leg for the whiners to stand on.

Coach Dantonio characterizes Urban Meyer's recruitment of Se'Von Pittman as "unethical". I have all the respect in the world for Dantonio, but he's wrong on this one.

Nevermind the fact that some of these kids may never had committed elsewhere if not for the turmoil of last season, or if it had been Coach Meyer recruiting them from the start. The only people who consider this unethical are the ones who come out on the losing end.

Agreed. I am a huge fan of Coach D, but his comments totally come off as sour grapes. I won't say more out of respect for him.

Way to raise FRCP 12(b)(6). Big 10 is about the get Rule 56'ed and Dantonio knows it.
