Michigan Coaching Speculation

So what happened to Martin doing this "by the book"? Sounds like he's talked to Schiano without seeking permission from the Rutger's AD. Ehh, just semantics I guess.

That suggests to me that there was either more interest in Schiano than prior reports indicated, or perhaps much less interest in Miles than most fans would be willing to recognize. I think the situation was also different in that Schiano wasn't on the cusp of a conference championship game.

Anyway, I don't pretend to understand Michigan fans' fascination with Miles, but personally I'd say Schiano is a MUCH better choice for UM head coach.
Wholeheartedly agreed, but now obviously a moot point. I didn't expect much from the situation considering Schiano has grown some pretty significant roots in New Jersey. Among other things, Rutgers had apparently made special arrangements to sell him the land his new house rests on by giving up and brokering a piece of a local nature reserve. He can walk to the stadium from his new pad. I'm also not surprised by him staying put based on the other job offers he's turned down.

Well, ESPN News is saying that Schiano is out and staying at Rutgers.... and with the speculation that Brady Hoke is going to be the new HC in Ann Arbor (is a Whore), I though maybe we could make up some "names" for Brady much like we did with LLLLLLloyd.

What about Brady cHoke, and for every Ohio State win over him while he is there we add an extra "c"?? Ya dig? I would have liked to carry on the "L" tradition with Les Miles, but it looks as though we are going to have to be more creative with whomever they hire.

Greg Schiano - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On Thursday, December 6, 2007, ESPN reported that he has had a lengthy conversation with University of Michigan Athletic Director Bill Martin, about the current Head Coaching vacancy at the school. It is expected that Michigan will offer him the job soon.

And since we all know Wikipedia entries can be edited by any person at any time (e.g. Michigan State fans), that clearly makes it the authoritative source for news on Michigan's coaching search.

Schiano was offered and accepted the job yesterday
He thought about it over night and decided he couldn't do it to his players
He turned down the job this morning
He called his entire team in this morning and revealed everything to them
He started crying and left

IF JT ever retires.. GREG SCHIANO is the man I want at tOSU
He has ethics and integrity...
