OCBuckWife;1489843; said:Ok, fair enough. Think about this then. Why would a 40 year old man create a house and lands that had an amusement park in it, a kid sized train crossing it, pony rides, petting zoo, and make the house and it's front lawn look like an exact copy of Disneyland, a known kid magnet?
Wingate1217;1489844; said:Couldn't the same be said of Walt and Roy Disney? I am not defended MJ (because I believe that he was a pedo) but sometimes people have motives that are less than apparent.....
OCBuckWife;1489845; said:It could be said yes, except theirs was a commercial venture. I'm not saying it isn't possible the Disneys couldn't be pedos too, you never know for sure until they get caught. But I find it much odder for a private home to be an amusement park rather than an amusement park to have residences in it. If I had a business that large, I would want a place to stay in it too. :tongue2:

Before they hit it big the Jacksons were a very poor family, then once they did become big MJ was sort of the gravey train. The rest of the family has talent, but none of them would ever draw as big as he did. For all the crazy shit people said about him, he was always giving to charities and causes he believed in, maybe in some ways he gave more the the child causes because of the fact that he never had a childhood, or maybe he trusted children more. Who knows really.
As far as the pedo thing, if it happened I would guess it would have happened with the first kid, but after that I think that it was parents looking for a payday after they just payed the other kid to go away.

OCBuckWife;1489856; said:He did do great things. I will agree wholeheartedly with that. He became some caricature of himself later but it won't ever change the work he did early on. The pedo thing could be talked about forever without conclusion unfortunately.
Unless some super secret information is suddenly released upon his death that makes it all clear and was previously never allowed to be seen by the public.![]()

If you answered, yes you would, would you have been comfortable if your son came home and told you he slept in the same bed as Jacko?
OK, OK, I never listened to his music, thought he danced about as well as any "good dancer" at my old high school, never mumbled his name in the same breath as Gene Kelly or Fred Astair, never compared his music to -- how about Stevie Wonder for starters -- to me he was one of those totally inexplicable phenomonons -- like the Monkees -- and I don't wish anyone to take The Last Train to Clarksville -- but Jeez, can we put a perspective on this?

but Jeez, can we put a perspective on this? Is this the sort of stuff that needs to be on every network news show ad nauseum?
