Yeah, not happy about this freaking storm. At all.

Aw, come on. We've had a record 291 days without snow here in Chicago. The last 23 days have had above normal temps. I'm ready for some good snow, but unfortunately it only looks like a few inches are headed our way. Hopefully we get a few mega-storms this season with 12"+ to make up for last year.

I hate people like you. No offense.

Give me lake effect snow from lake michigan any day over the winter mix that plagues I-70 (especially with the 1 snow plow per county system). Fortunately there has been a respite from that the last few winters.

The wintry mix is fucking awful, I'll give you that.

Well, at least my in-laws that are coming have a crippling pot addiction...

Wow - is it weird to say that I'm jealous?

Ha, ha, none taken. That's why I choose to live in Chicago - I like the snow/cold as much as the summers. I'd hate living someplace without the extreme weather changes.

And I for a job, go figure

For those bitching about snow I maintain that childhood winters of sledding, skiing, snow fort building & snowball fights were pretty damn awesome.
Hey, those activities aren't only available to children. Plus there are a whole lot of alcoholic beverages that go down so much better in the cold weather.

Look, when you're limited to 5500 watts of power and the furnace is going to suck up 1000 before you do anything else, no TV or precision electronics, those are the folks you want to share that particular bunker with.
