The bar scene is pretty decent after you've spent a couple of months in Waco.

how is it after spending my entire adult life only an hour from Bourbon St?

Dallas also has a large section of it in a dry county.
and even when you find a county that ain't dry, you gotta go to a liquor store just to buy beer.

a really shitty setup when you're accustomed to just going to the gas station on the next street and buying whatever the hell you want (beer, whiskey, etc.) 24/7.

ok, my wife wants me to drive her and the kids somewhere that they can see snow. (hasn't snowed here since '89).

like actual snow on the ground that the kids can see/play in.
problem is, I have to plan this ahead of time due to work.

so I need some suggestions.
and place up there where I where I would stand a good chance of finding some in like Jan/Feb?

a place likely to have some, and have like a park or something to take the kids to so we not just at a hotel looking out the windows.
hoping for a place with othe things to do/see as well while there.

any ideas?

There's a big fucking pile of it in my yard. When you reach the Ohio border make a post and I'll PM you the rest of the directions. :wink2:

Allegedly supposedly the Columbus area could see 2-4 inches of snow starting tonight and into tomorrow. I'm going to laugh my ass off when we get more snow in this storm than the supposed "big" winter storm from Wednesday...

Ohio has been a winter wonderland for weeks. Glorious 25-30 degree weather. Ohio is usually 35-40 with muddy slop. Lingering snow is awesome.

What is not so great is sitting atop Snowshoe with no power in the entire county of wv. Good thing we brought some fun games to play.
