Bravo. Good God. Lloyd may or may not have been happy with Tressel over not voting, but you have got to just be searching for ways to hate Lloyd if you wanna bash him over that. A throwaway quote in the middle of a much larger article, with absolutely no context whatsoever.martinss01;677718; said:id need to know the context in which the statement was made. carr has been fairly restrained throughout all of this and the media has been known to report quotes out of context in order to create a story where none existed.

Here are some definitions of 'slick' in order of commonality:
1. smooth and glossy; sleek.
2. smooth in manners, speech, etc.; suave.
3. sly; shrewdly adroit: He's a slick customer, all right.
4. ingenious; cleverly devised: a slick plan to get out of work.
5. slippery, esp. from being covered with or as if with ice, water, or oil.
6. deftly executed and having surface appeal or sophistication, but shallow or glib in content; polished but superficial; glib: a writer who has mastered every formula of slick fiction.
Some folks are jumping to #6 and skipping 2, 3, and 4 which are not necessarily offensive.
That said, Voyd did go after Urban today for saying things about Michigan that were 'inappropriate', so it may just be that he is on the rag.
He whines a lot, but doesn't exactly come across as gracious when the chips happen to fall his way most of the time.
