The future Voyd

And so IVoyd, with his career so recently on an intravenous drip, begins to realize that he has become Voyd. The open whining and whinging about a "slick" Tressel and about officiating and other aspects of the game is now beginning to reach its crecendo.

Voyd finds his career in a void. Will it return to its splendor of the Cooper years or will he continue to be regularly beaten like a drum by a mentally superior coach at Ohio State? Although the answer is clear to us all, it is not yet clear to Voyd. Bo is no longer there to support him and, with a BCS Bowl in hand and a good game at Ohio State, he cannot understand why the sharks are still in the water....

What future lies ahead for Voyd?

Voyd is destined to live this year in a void. Fresh off a season that was well above expectations, he will continue to feel uncertain. He will realize that finishing badly, a trademark of his former Ohio State nemesis, has now become his trademark. Whining and whinging day and night, his career shall tarry but a while at this stage until he becomes VLoyd with his next loss to Tressel and Ohio State.

Vloyd will be a virtual holographic representation of what was once a coach that dominated Ohio State. The whinging and whining will now cease and a deep sense of "gee, what a screw-up I am" will descend. His sixth loss will be a sign of his need to "retire".

Just in case he is having trouble seeing these signs, loyal TSUN fans with gather in nightly crowds outside his home to burn him in effigy to light the way. The drying eggs and toilet paper that peel the paint off his car will also help Vloyd understand that the way of the warrior is to end this virtual existence. He will watch his warrior heroes on television to build up the courage to fight the battle within that he must now fight...

His final season, now within sight, there will be no expectations. We will all toast his greatness as we toasted Hayden Fry and VI-VIloyd will retire, speaking at TSUN alumni functions and remembering his dominance over Cooper.

      I hope you didn't spend a lot of time on that steve .
I like void as a coach, he is good enought to keep for years yet just not quite good enought to beat JT...

You'd never see Tressel say anything like this.

He is the king of caution - which is precisely why he didn't vote.

If he had we would either be reading about 1) why he voted for Florida to duck Michigan or 2) how pissed off Florida was because JT dissed them by voting for Michigan.

Slick move if you ask me.

If Ohio State is as corrupt as the rest of the internet world LIKES to believe we are, then Tressel would have voted Michigan #2 no ifs, ands, or buts. Two Big Ten teams in the championship game would trickle down to roughly another 2 million dollars added to the Buckeye athletic budget for us to buy more of these recruits (guys that often dream about going to Ohio State, mind you).

I was thoroughly convinced we were tO$U, but now I'm having some doubts.

Had Tressel voted... you would have heard the coach of the team he didn't vote for.. say... "He voted for the team he knew he could beat".. it was a no-win vote... took the high road and stayed away from it...

Great job Mr Tressel

Michigan to Play 12th Game in December?

I heard this on the radio here in Cincinnati this morning. A scUM fan stated that LLLLloyd said that scUM is going to begin scheduling it's 12th game (final non-conference game) two weeks after The Game in order to avoid this type of situation in the future and to have a bye week. I did a quick google and couldn't find anything about this. I'm taking it with a grain of salt as you know how those scUMers lie. This would truly suck if they are really planning to do this.

would actually give them 2 bye weeks over the course of the regular season, as well as decrease the time off b/w regular season and bowl game.

Although we haven't played particularly well in JT's tenure the week after a bye week.

Other than that it seems like a good idea, besides the fact that THE GAME would be followed by another regular season game, which i don't like

I would seriously doubt this (a Michigan game after The Game) occurs. Typical reactionary bullcrap. Let's see... Michigan gets "burned" for not playing late in to the year (that is - gets jumped) and misses out on backing in to the NC game. Last I checked, that's the first time it's happened to them... And, last I checked the BCS has existed since 1998.

Regardless, and while I still think Michigan is #2 and Florida #3 based on what I've seen this year, a team getting jumped on a bye week isn't without precedent in the history of polls. In fact, it happens every friggin week.

I'm not old enough to remember, and I know the situation was different because of a lack of the BCS, but did Ohio State fans bitch and complain like this after our late season losses to tSUN. I mean, we've lost to them in the last game of the year when we were undefeated MULTIPLE times and I have a hard time believing we acted like this. Maybe they're just not used to it which is why their fan base is being so pathetically whiny about it.

First of all, brilliant move on Tressel's part. I can't really blame Carr for being upset, but with that being said I think that Michigan had their shot and didn't convert.

I will say this though. The high respect that I had for Urban Meyer over the past few years has fallen like Gary Busey after an all night bender. The way that he desperately lobbied the nation was kind of a joke. Hopefully now Meyer will shut the hell up and coach some football.
