I knew they were from Cleveland, but honestley I wasn't even sure they were still together. I haven't heard shit from them since like 07

Edit: Haha, I guess they put out an album this year, guess I gotta pay more attention to them.

Double Edit: They made a Bone Thugs game?

LeBron James Headed to Miami Heat, According to Report

Alan Hahn of Newsday may have broken the sports story of the century -- one so big that the "scoop" was spun off into its own television special.

ESPN or no ESPN, intrepid reporters like Hahn remained eager to beat LeBron James to the punch. A little while after the stroke of midnight, Hahn tweeted: "Multiple sources are telling Newsday that LeBron James has decided to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. The new Big Three is here."

As a Cleveland fan I can only comment as to how I feel, obviously, but the Cleveland fans I know absolutely have an "expect the worst" mentality. Why wouldn't we?

What have Cleveland sports teams given us fans other than heartbreak? Even when they get close they lose it in such heartbreaking fashion that it leaves us raw.

In my opinion he stays. He is too much of a homeboy to make a choice that will make him the most hated man in Cleveland since Art Modell. Whether it's fair or not that's what's going to happen.

Should he leave? If he wants to win a title then he should. It ain't going to happen in Cleveland.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--LBJ's legacy as one of the greatest players ever will never come to fruition in Miami. Jordan is great because he was drafted by a lousy Bulls team and he turned that lousy Bulls team into a 6-time NBA title winner. Bryant is great because everyone said he could only win titles with Shaq, yet he's now won two without Shaq and by leading the team himself. LBJ will never be considered one of the great ones even if he wins a few titles in Miami. Instead, he'll be looked upon as someone who couldn't get it done himself and had to pair up with a couple of the other best players in the NBA at the time in order to get over the hump. He won't be a Michael Jordan. He'll be a Paul Pierce.

I'm not one to side with the Cleveland fans' hatred. Lebron doesn't owe them a damn thing. He honored his contract, and it's his choice if he wants to leave. If he's leaving, however, he shouldn't have turned this into such a spectacle, culminating in his nationally televised one-hour "announcement." If he was going to leave, he should have kept things low key and followed it up with a brief, standard press conference. If he's leaving, this circus is only going to fan the hatred, imo.

He won't be Jordan he'll be Pippen. If Lebron decides to play elsewhere I will hate him for turning his back on the team that I love. He doesn't owe me or Cleveland fans anything, but I'm entitled to how I feel. Out of the options that he has I can't fault him for going to Miami if all he wants is to win championships. Those 3 and a bunch of scrubs can probably win the title for the next 5+ years, but if Lebron leaves for Miami he no longer has a legacy. He'll be the Pippen to Wade's Jordan even if Lebron is the better player. I'm really hoping that this is one last smokescreen before his show tonight and he comes back to Cleveland. He can go anywhere, but his legacy will never be a big as it would be in Cleveland.
IMO the worst thing that could happen for the NBA is for Lebron to go to Miami. Every other team besides Orlando and LA could just pack it in and wait till these guys get old. If there are 2 or 3 teams on one level and every other team is on a lower level what's the point of watching?

I totally agree to a point. I'm just saying that I understand where the hate is going to come from. It's not LBJ so much as it is the entire Cleveland sports history. This is just another punch in the stomach for Cleveland sports fans. Here is a home town boy who just happens to be one of the top 3 players in the league. The Cavs end up sucking enough to get a shot at drafting him and they end up actually getting him. He gets them to the finals and to a couple of outstanding seasons, some playoff runs, and then BOOM...he's gone. And he's gone because he just doesn't see a future in Cleveland. It's not money, it's not marketability, it's that Cleveland will never win a title. He's going to end up making up to $30 million LESS if he goes somewhere else, yet he's willing to do that to get out of Cleveland.

It just sucks to be a Cleveland sports fan.

EDIT Again, I think he'll end up staying and I hope the Cavs do everything in their power to surround Lebron with enough talent to get that title. I just won't be surprised if he leaves, given that it is Cleveland.

This has been some circus. I will be happy when he makes a decision and then everyone (except the folks that feel screwed if he leaves for the Heat), can get on with their lives. Frankly, I'm glad Bosh went south. I would have gone after Boozer before Bosh or Amare because he is a more rounded player (he plays defense too). However that is a moot point now.

However, I'm interested in what direction the Cavs will go if stays or leaves. If he stays, what do you do to strengthen the current roster? If he leaves do you trade all the players worth trading and start the rebuilding process immediately or try to win with the pieces currently in place? Let me add with the current players, this team would be lucky to make the playoffs. Regardless, it ought to be interesting in NE Ohio in the coming weeks.

Without Lebron the Cavs go immediately to mediocre if not worse.

Everyone on Sportscenter just said Miami, with one of the NBA dudes saying his source told him 90% Miami. Of course he also said he had 2 major sources...1 originally thought Miami and now says CLeveland, the other said Cleveland yesterday and now says Miami. So basically Who the Foxtrot knows, but I bet it will be Miami or Cleveland. I am really starting to think it won't be Cleveland, however.

So he's going to Chicago?
