Can't wait until the Heat tell Wade to take a hike. That's going to be the best troll job ever.
If LeBron is insisting on a max deal, Miami's in a really tough spot. All they'll be able to sign is a mix bag of mediocrity. Bosh will get better offers from other teams than Miami can offer. So, if LeBron takes a max offer from, say, Houston...does gay dinosaur hang around Miami to play with what's left of Diane Wade? The best thing that could happen would be LeBron bolting, Bosh following him, and Riley left out in the cold with only Diane Wade willing to resign. If that happens, my glee will be impossible to hide.
Fuck all three of them, but fuck Pat Riley most of all.
I've heard and read, none of them really want to take pay cuts so the owner can get out of the Luxury Tax.... so with the soft cap they (Diane, James, Bosh) figure they can just throw all the money at the problemAgreed on all points here, I'm a little surprised Lebron is demanding the max... I mean wasn't the point of opting out to help create space to get other help in town, this a bit of an interesting play if indeed true.
I'm a little surprised because I thought he would stay in Miami for sure. This plants some serious doubt. I don't blame him, though. I think he realizes that Miami is going to keep Wade around, and Wade is a second tier wing player at best now. Add into that Bosh, and even if LeBron takes a small cut, they still aren't going to be able to put a roster around him good enough to warrant taking less money for anything less than guaranteed titles. And even all 3 of them resigning plus a rag tag group of washed up vets that they can afford is far from a sure thing. They weren't even close in the Finals, and they aren't going to have the flexibility to put enough pieces around him to make them dominant again. He might as well get a max deal and have his pick of where to play.Agreed on all points here, I'm a little surprised Lebron is demanding the max... The only one that should take a paycut is Wade. Bosh can make more money elsewhere. LeBron, as the best player on the planet will get a max deal in a nanosecond. I guess if LeBron bolts, Riley could match any offer Bosh would receive, but would he want to stay there with only the shell of Wade? I was about 98% sure they were all resigning before all of this. I'd say I'm about 33% now. And even if they do resign together, I don't see how Miami pieces a roster together that makes them significantly better than they were this year. This is glorious.I've heard and read, none of them really want to take pay cuts so the owner can get out of the Luxury Tax.... so with the soft cap they (Diane, James, Bosh) figure they can just throw all the money at the problem
Hopefully LeBron's fragile little ego doesn't get bruised too much when all 137 Heat fans in attendance boo him when he comes back to Miami as the enemy next year.
This seems to me to be an extremely reasonable and rational point of view.James isn’t interested in reducing his salary from $20.6 next season and $22.1 million in 2015-16 just so that team owner Micky Arison can avoid paying luxury taxes. As they say, been there, done that and all it got James was second place.
That's the one scenario I could see happening involving the Cavs.My prediction is that Lebron signs with the Cavs and decides to take one last dip in the waters of Souf Beach before he heads back to Ohio resulting in the shark attack that we've all been hoping for over the past 4 years.
