Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

I thought we were arguing over people being pissed that he left the Cavs, not how he left.

Oh.

Personally, I would've been upset that he left (just that a great player left my favorite team - you can't not be upset to an extent), but I wouldn't have hated the guy. Now I just think he's a total douche and want him to fail. He's shown since leaving that he lacks intelligence and maturity with many of his comments.

I'm sure we can find in this thread or the Cavs thread.. but I think I remember saying that I'd root for him no matter where he went. I genuinely liked Lebron. Then he decided to be a huge bitch and went from favorite to least favorite.

Christ. Really?

I'm not superstitious, but I am a littlestitious.. and I'm thinking LBJ may very well have taken the Cleveland curse down south.

Browns.. superbowl.

wade has never made it through an entire 82 game season in how many years now? add to that the fact that he's a year older, and will now have to play tons of minutes since the heat have no depth.

just wait until wade misses 2 weeks with an ankle and bosh gets an inflamed labia. lebron has been pretty lucky in terms of injury throughout his career.

Well, except the fake ones...

seriously? hate and wishing harm on a guy over a professional sport is a little out there, bro. It's just a game.

People always say that and yet we throw down a significant amount of our disposable income towards our favorite teams. We spend our precious leisure time watching, discussing and arguing about sports topics, teams and players. Even when we are at work, many of us get on this site and argue sports; we go to espn.com; and we follow constant updates. Hell, even you think its a good use of your time to antagonize a suffering fanbase for fun. Just a game? Shit, I wish I could see it that way. Family, work and sports, in that order.

The only thing I have a problem with in all of the Lebron show is when he mentioned race. Mike Lupica hit the nail on the head Sunday morning on the Sports Reporters. The NBA is like professional wrestling. All entertainment. People acted the same way when Hogan joined the NWO and became Hollywood Hogan. Seriously guys, it's a bunch of overpaid showboats running up and down, up and down, up and down. Seriously, what you guys do if the nation had voted in a moron for a President? Oh wait.....

Miami is going to be ridiculously good. They're going to play Pat Riley defense, and utilize their athleticism down the court. It's going to be a hell of a team to stop.

Unless injuries hamper them...

It was actually fun to root against LeBron jumpers dropping seeing as he hardly makes them.

Not shocking...from Chris Broussard in terms of the arena:

Unbelievably, there is no electricity in the arena. I'm sorry, but Heat fans are well, sorry. lower bowl is 2/3 full.

It's funny that Wade and local reporters are talking about the playoff atmosphere and non-biased reporters are talking about how sorry the arena is/was

I agree. People will try to poke holes in them to make it seem interesting. But the Heat are going to be nearly unstoppable. I hate the guy, but LeQuit is still (IMO) the best player in the league.

i see sports as something to pass the time with when I get a break. I'm emotionally invested in my wife and kids. the end. love it when my team wins, go about my business when it's over.

 i love this site. it's so easy to rile people up over the dumbest shit. at least you've gotten a good grasp on my silly bollocks. Others? not so much.

I love this site too for obvious reasons, but one not so obvious reason may be that trolling behavior is really not tolerated here.

And by the looks of what I just quoted you on, well that almost seems to be a pretty good definition of what is known as trolling.

Here is the Urban Dictionary definition of trolling:

One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument

For fun, here is the Encyclopedia Dramatica definition:

A Troll, most commonly encountered on the internet, is any person who purposely causes controversy in a web community (by posting offensive and crude comments or provides advice) and disrupts shit for his own amusement

Yep, you gave a pretty damn good definition of trolling in your post. As a mod, I have never had someone so blatantly post that they are simply in a thread to troll. Hell, it would be the easiest infraction ever assigned in the history of BP, except for the obvious spammers.

And to further muddy the water, I am sure that you know that the first definition of the word "bollocks" is testicles. I assume that you meant it to be used as the alternative definition "nonsense", but in a post where you identify trolling behavior on your part......
