Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

the difference is one franchise got the message, the other sat around for 5 years and did nothing

actually one played on a terrible team and still stuck it out and look where it got him. the other was on the team with the best regular season record in the NBA for two years in a row. now the same situation at all. kobes was much worse. the cavs have gotten better every single year lebron has been in the league, and the cavs have done everything they could every year to get anything lebron wanted. to say the cavs did nothing is not even an exaggeration... it's wrong.

it is what it is. he gave 7 seasons. more than enough in a selfish ego driven league. his exit eas stupid and childish, buthad every right to leave.

nobody seems to hate Big Z for jumping ship

lebron was drafted by the cavs, so his first four years don't count as "giving the cavs time." in reality his first contract a player was a three year deal. i would argue that he really only gave the cavs 3 years.

they went from the worst team in the NBA to drafting lebron and losing in the championship. every single year of his three year contract they made big moves in the offseason. what else do you want?

honestly, the cavs only real mistake is keeping mike brown as long as they did. if im not mistaken, lebron was the one that wanted to keep him.

your user name is "ohio." even if bron left like big z you would have had issues.

Let me get this straight: you, of all people, are accusing others in this thread of being biased? :slappy:

Lebron had a right to leave. That's not what caused all the backlash.

He's hated by people outside of Ohio. He pulled a lot of bullshit. Stop trying to make it sound like he just left and that was it. A lot more to it.

i've said a multitude of times he was egocentric and how he did it was stupid and immature.

Yessir, but I would have eventually had to recognize that my issues were irrational. LeQuit instead gave us legitimate reasons to be pissed off. I'd rather he just said "thank you," and went on his way. I might have been over it by 2011. Now, he just keeps piling on the stupidity - giving me cause in perpetuity to hate him and wish harm upon him.

seriously? hate and wishing harm on a guy over a professional sport is a little out there, bro. It's just a game.
