Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

Exactly....seems the Cavs are better off without him if he is such a quitter

That was my point with my earlier post.

If all these negative things about him are true...then Cleveland should be throwing a party right now that this cancer is off the team. Truth is, he is a top 3 NBA star, he isn't a "primadona" athlete, he has his head on straight, is a pillar of the community, and busted his ass for 7 years.

Now he decided to leave and fans are [censored]ed. I get it...just don't make up a bunch of bull[censored] about him to make you feel better about it. It's the classic "oh we didn't want Charles Woodsen to come to OSU. We don't need him" recruiting BS.

Not even comparable...what are you talking about?? Gilbert does this one time, and now he's laying players out left and right..lol

Keep reaching. LeBron took a Cleveland Steamer on Gilbert and the city, and he's venting for the fans. And if he wants to air some dirty laundry on the guy who built his entire reputation on loyalty, family, and being "The King", I'm all for it. LeBron left his throne in Cleveland to become Scottie Pippen in Miami. And he made it worse by devoting an hour to his exit...and then talking about his loyalty...hahaha. LeBron is getting ripped nationally so hard right now, and I don't see it ending anytime soon. He completely mis-read the national landscape. Cleveland fans will be [censored]ed, but nationally this is hot. Not so fast my friend...Kobe's bandwagon just picked up a few tons of weight.

What are you listening to or reading so I can read/listen... M & M and the local guys here were ripping Cleveland and saying they didn't blame Lebron.... I love to hear some talking heads rip LBJ

Apparently Joshua Cribbs posted this on twitter and proposes it replace the "Witness" billboard.

From just last July......

Cribbs? representatives are expected to meet with Browns coach Eric Mangini and general manager George Kokinis next week to discuss reworking the contract. What transpires at that meeting could dictate Cribbs? next course of action. A holdout, trade demand or leaving training camp at some point are all possibilities, but reaching a compromise on a new contract before things get to those points are the goal, the source said.

yahoo.com, cbssportsline.com, espn.com, 1st and 10 TV show, Jim Rome will be all over this, SI.com...

Don't know what Cowherd's take will be..most likely in James corner b/c he likes to go against the grain. He'll rip Gilbert too. He'll prob rip LeBron for being a giant vag but thats about it. Defend the decesion but point out LeBron has the mentality of a role player not a superstar.

Of course he didn't want to sign a quitter. He wanted him to not quit on the team in the first place - both in the playoffs and yesterday.

How did he quit on the team yesterday when he wasn't even employed by the team yesterday? It doesn't matter that he didn't want him to quit, he still says he did yet wanted to resign. A product doesn't live up to my expectations, I'm not going out to buy same product in bulk.

How could that have possibly happened? He had the best national management and pr people working for him. Oh wait, no he didn't. He had a bunch of parasites from Akron "managing" his career.

There could be a counter to this argument...let me think for a split second about it.

Oh, maybe the franchise was hoping LeBron would commit long-term so they could put the right pieces around him finally. And maybe the hope was that a long-term contract would prevent him from always looking at the other side of the fence and instead put forth the effort we know he's capable of.

I don't think LeBron is a bad guy...he truly seems like a nice person. But his head is so jacked up if he thinks an hour special to dump Cleveland is winning him a national audience. Friends from Georgia, North Florida, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and California all texted me at random times to say something of the following:
  • Didn't realize LeBron was such an ego-maniac
  • What a pussy
  • Hope he wins no rings in MIA but the sex parties with D-Wade will be epic
  • Ouch. What a disresecptful move
  • Can never be considered the best now...too bad. Liked him in CLE

We'll certainly find out Gilbert's interpretation of it. Some have said that LeBron indicated as late as yesterday morning that he planned to re-sign. Dan Gilbert says he quit, and he's going to have his say.

It doesn't matter that he didn't want him to quit? Huh?

He didnt seem really sure of himself in that interview and I think that sums up his life so far.... I dont think he is totally comfortable with being a Man... He still has child like qualities that come from growing up to fast with out some one to whup his ass and teach him to be an adult male. I dont relate to these guys and im not old.... its video games and instant gratification etc etc... you dont even have to use catalog cards at the library to write a paper any more... everything is easy. (i sound like my Grand Pa)

good acticle...in the past i have sometimes disagreed with Wojnarowski but this article is dead on

Easy come, easy go for King James - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

As the worst idea in the history of marketing unfolded, James looked trapped somewhere between despondence and defiance. His bumbling buddy Maverick Carter had walked him into the public execution of his legacy, his image, and there was a part of James that clearly wished he could turn back through the doors and hide. Only, it was too late. No going back now. James goes to the Miami Heat, Cleveland goes into a basketball Hades and LeBron?s legacy becomes that of a callous carpetbagger.

they only had 7 years to do that.....so I see what it hadn't happened yet.

Jesus Christ, Kevin Garnett gets served up to Boston for half the roster of the what was the worst team in the league, and suddenly everybody thinks that true superstar sidekicks just fall out of the [censored]ing sky for everybody. When your trading chips are Damon Jones and Donyell Marshall, you get guys like Mo Williams in return if you're lucky. If LeBron would have been content to tank the last couple years like all his other free agent suitors did, maybe things would have turned out differently.

That really gets at the most disingenuous aspect of this whole episode. He spent the past three years demanding that the Cavs exhaust every bit of financial and roster flexibility at their disposal, and then when he becomes a free agent he cites as an attribute in both himself and his new team qualities that he would not allow to exist in his relationship with his old team.

It's like wanting for the longest time to put it in your girlfriend's butt, but she says she doesn't want to. Then she leaves your ass for the pool boy and tells you she likes the way he [censored]s her up the ass like you never would. GTFO.
