LB Steele Chambers (Official Thread)

Just watched the Maryland game again... this kid is going to be the real deal at LB. I hope he keeps the #22 RB number just because it would be badass, but he covers the most ground of any LB I have seen here since Darron Lee. Give him a year at the position and he'll be unstoppable.

I’ve totally been wanting to post the Lee comparison. I agree.

Especially if Gaoteote comes back next year, LBs should be a position of strength on the defense in 2022:

Cody Simon
Tommy Echenberg
Steele Chambers
Palaie Gaoteote
AJ Hicks
Gabe Powers

Every position is a strength next year lol.. shoot next year we may be only down Haskell/Cage/Jackson but even then we still get back Vincent and Williams at DT. Next year's defense could be 2019 special but I do expect maybe Hickman and Banks to go pro.

Word, the position is already improving a lot since Chambers got moved to LB. Eichenberg has really stepped up and started getting in position, and Simon is solid. Chambers just flies around and gets to the ball so damn fast. I would through Carrico in that last, he needs a little more time but the coaches already love him from the sounds of it. As for Hicks, that dude could seriously crack the lineup from day 1, best LB recruit I've seen us land (that tracks back to the D'Andrea and Carpenter class).

Better than Browning or McMillan coming out of HS?
