Urban seems to have Grant's back..it may be that HS years were so basic that all he has a lot to learn. HS football is so variable he might have started out way behind.

Speaks volumes about the talent we had/have and how recruiting is so inexact.
Hopefully he can put it together for next season. Always seemed like he had the athleticism and talent. But there is some unknown talent behind him and more possibly coming in

I hope he can get it turned around but if he hasn't by now I'm just not sure if he's going to excel at OSU. The great ones normally play half way decent by the sophomore year (shazier) but prove me wrong Grant. I just hope he doesn't transfer.

I wouldn't give up on him yet...it took Sabino a while for the game to slow down for him...

They are let him host a lot of high profile recruits this week, including Hand, the no. 1 kid nationally from Virginia. I understand the Maryland QB hosted Stefan Diggs and transferred a couple of weeks later, but I don't think our coaches would let him do that unless they know he's bought in.

Keep in mind that he struggled to learn the defensive scheme his first year, which is why he didn't play that much. And in his second year we change the scheme again with Withers. I am hopeful that some continuity in the defensive scheme between now and next season will help Curtis get his head into the game and contributing significantly.

Keep in mind that Zach Boren, who is about as athletic as the average BP poster and hadn't played linebacker in any scheme in almost four years, still beat him out in mid-season. Doesn't bode well for the future, but he's still got two years left, so there's always a chance....
