Going to Great Lengths: West Virginia Fans Want Latwan Anderson
Oct 21st, 2009 by admin.

Don't ever underestimate the lengths that college football fans will go to in order to get the recruits they want to see at their school. Here's an example where technology and fandome meet up. Some ingenious fan has collaged Glenville H.S. (Ohio) safety Latwan Anderson's highlights with NCAA '10 college football video game to entice Anderson to dress up as a Mountaineer for the next four seasons and of course?? they put it on YouTube. Check it out:

Latwan Anderson is 5-11, 185 pounds, a five-star prospect and the No. 18 overal recruit in the nation.
His recruitment has been a bit more fluid than most. The Spartans have been on and off his list of favorites the past few months and a recent offer by Ohio State has apparently moved them to the forefront.

With Anderson's size, speed and ability to make plays, some compare him to Ronald Johnson, once the top player out of Michigan who elected to go to USC. Anderson is being recruited to play defensive back by most teams, but his skills could translate to any spot. Michigan State likes him as a cornerback.

The Spartans may be more of a long-shot with Anderson. Ohio State is considered the solid leader, but a few things cannot be overlooked, including Dantonio?s background is as a defensive backs coach and that he has helped develop several former Glenville products into NFL players (while at Ohio State).

Wow...that's pretty lame.

One of the comments under the video state:

Having driven from Columbus to Washington DC numerous times, I can't quite remember one time I didn't regret going to Morgantown, let alone that entire state.

Oh come on now, the State of West Virginia is beautiful. Especially this time of the year. That said, i think WV and MSU are back up plans for LA if he does not gain admission to OSU. He is keeping his options open IMO.

The state is beautiful. Morgantown is an inbred hole IMHO. I made the drive from the Washington, DC area to Columbus which passes through Morgantown many times to see the Buckeyes play.
