BN $ - Spartan Attitude?

10/28

By BK...said the MSU vibe wasn't as family oriented as some other schools...focused on West Virginia, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Tennessee and North Carolina with WVU still in the lead.

That's different from what he said in the Scout article.....he thought that MSU were "pretty family-like just like tOSU". Overall, it doesn't seem like MSU blew him away by any stretch. When the dust settles and his grades are great he will come to the home of the Buckeyes. It just makes too much sense.

Anderson makes first official visit

Defensive back Latwan Anderson (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) was in East Lansing this past weekend on an official visit to Michigan State. It was Anderson's first official visit.

"It went alright," Anderson said. "But it wasn't what I expected. The academic side of it was cool. But the players weren't as family oriented as some other schools I've visited."

However, that doesn't mean Anderson is ready to cross Michigan State off his list.

"The coaches were cool," Anderson said. "The (Michigan State-Iowa) game was a fun environment. That was the best thing. I'm still looking at Michigan State."

In addition to Michigan State, Anderson said he is also looking at West Virginia, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Tennessee and North Carolina.

"It's mostly those six schools," Anderson said. "West Virginia is still my leader."

Rivals $

10/29

By Ladky...says OSU is third behind Cincinnati and WVU (leader)...will visit OSU in December and will decide on his other two officials.

My guess is OSU is third because his UC and WVU offers are "commitable" while his OSU offer is not until he has his academics in order...

Glenville duo has mixed reviews for MSU

Anderson, who is rated a five-star prospect and the No. 2 safety in the nation by Rivals.com, was also on an official visitor this weekend. Anderson called his time in East Lansing ?Alright? and came away listing the Spartans behind other favorites, Ohio State, West Virginia and Cincinnati.

It should be noted that Anderson is a recent transfer to Glenville. Up until late in his junior year, he played for Lakewood St. Edwards High School. He has not been a player that has been in coach Ginn?s system for several years.

Yea, because just up and foregoing the opportunity to play out your senior season with all of your buddies on a pretty solid D-1 football team in order to transfer to a school that is coached by a Buckeye supporter and is historically a feeder school for the tOSU is a great sign for major collegiate football programs not headed by Jim Tressel. :roll1: More great analysis from the Free Press. They should get back to doing what they do best: bashing scUM. That I can get behind.

Glenville hammers sloppy St. Ignatius, 30-
Tim Rogers, Plain Dealer Reporter, November 14, 2009 11:13 p.m.

. . .

The Tarblooders, laughing in the face of the Wildcats' 25-game winning streak and their lofty ranking in the local, state and national polls, came up with eight turnovers. They got the biggest lift from senior transfer Latwan Anderson, who intercepted four passes and returned them for 196 yards, just 50 yards shy of the total offense produced by St. Ignatius.

. . .

Anderson, who transferred to Glenville from St. Edward, applied the backbreaker with 4:31 to play in the third quarter and the Wildcats, trailing 23-14, on the doorstep. On a third down from the Glenville 9, Anderson jumped in front of a St. Ignatius receiver to intercept a pass and went coast-to-coast on a 99-yard touchdown return.

"That was the best game of my life," Anderson said. "All week long everyone was telling me that I'm ranked as one of the best players in the country and that I had to play like it."

Anderson's turn of events gave the Tarblooders (11-1) a 17-point lead with a little more than 16 minutes to play and was just one of many mistakes the Wildcats made.

Great game for Anderson. He looks like he is going to back up the notion that he is the top safety in the country with play like that. Watching the video, it looked like he just made a great play on 3 out of 4 of those, they weren't just handed to him. Bryant came up with a few nice plays as well. Here's to hoping they both end up here.

That he is. Who is this #7 guy...looks like another Division I prospect for Glenville.

McVey is hurt?

Andre Sturdivant and he is a D1 prospect.

McVey wasn't hurt. He played(unless he got hurt in the 4th quarter). He made a few nice plays but it was obvious that the Iggy defense was just overmatched in the trenches. Not to mention with all the turnovers they were on the field ALOT. Glenville's line is massive across the board and outweighed the Wildcats by a large margin. I think McVey was banged up cause he didn't quite look 100% but at times it was like he was playing 1v11.
