The Omen. Great movie.

We went last night for Halloween. I liked the first 3 to varying degrees. This one sucked.

Haven't seen any of them since I thought Blair Witch sucked and this franchise seems to be cut from the same cloth.

Blair Witch bored me to tears. But, it is kinda the same thing and I know people who said Paranormal Activity bored them too. C'est la vie.

Don't bother with the fourth one though, even if you ever see and like the others. It's just a string of lazy jump scares tied together with a clumsy premise.

Someone gave me The Punisher to watch. It was bad but fun.

Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane or Ray Stevenson?

I despised Blair Witch (sorry but just being out in the woods isn't scary) and kinda sorta liked Paranormal Activity.

I really hated the boyfriend in the first film (my girlfriend is terrified so what should I do? Buy a Ouija board and make her cry!) and the strange mood switch of the dad in 2 (Yeah I know I fired you for it but one tiny weird thing happened so could you come over and cast some spells in my condo? K thanx bye) but I got a kick out of the retro 80's theme of 3 (vhs camcorder + oscillating fan for teh win!) and the kitchen scenes were the best in the entire series.

I agree, pretty much on all counts. The boyfriend was a douche, I don't remember what incident prompted the mood switch of the dad...I might agree if I saw it again. The fan-cam was intense even when nothing was happening...probably my favorite aspect of the series.

Once grandma's "friends" showed up at the end of 3...that might be where it jumped off for me. We'll see what they do with 5 next year.

Ditto. I really liked the homage to Halloween.

They also did a great job with the little girls in general, and how as a kid you can almost live in a completely different world than the adults around you.

I didn't love the ending either. It reminded me a lot of The Last Exorcism.

The third one is probably the best of the first 3, and it wasn't THAT great. Don't expect to be blown away by the movie, but it's decent... And the ending is freaky as shit.

Just watched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. If you don't love this movie, turn in your testicles at the front desk. Pussies...

Now watching Rocky, the original, which is a great movie too.

I've got Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly on DVR, slowly working my way through them. They are so good.

I caught a really bizarre late 90's scifi/horror flick on DVR: EVENT HORIZON.

Just hilariously odd. It starts out OK but things just go freaking crazy and it doesn't explain much. Seems like they ran out of money in the middle of shooting or else it was a poor edit. I found it entertaining but more in the so bad it's good genre.

Pretty decent movie. I was tired when I watched it but it didn't put me to sleep. Might be able to score brownie points with a wife or girlfriend if you convince her it's a chick flick. Posting the trailer because it's easier than typing out the cast.

The entire car scene was money, aside from that.. Eh. Jim's dad was pretty funny, but it's the same shit.
