Living like it was still 1996 on Saturday evening. Went to Blockbuster (they still have those?) and rented (did what?) Wayne's World on DVD. (They didn't have it on VHS).

As much as a I enjoy quoting that movie, it is really, really dumb.

Any of the following any good? FYI my girlfriend (and I at times) enjoy the animated movies...

Total Recall (remake)
The Watch
Ice Age 4
Brave

I've never seen Green Street Hooligans so I got that as well to watch at my GF's request. We are big SOA fans and Jax is in it.

Green Street Hooligans is great. If you like it, I'll give you a couple other Hooligan type movies that are worth checking into.

My wife took the kids to Brave. She didn't like it as much as Tangled. I didn't see it, but I did like Tangled

Haven't seen the other ones. But The Watch looked good.

Shaa.... Right...

I went and saw Flight today.. It's a roller coaster of emotions. It's got suspense, tear jerking moments, and it's got humor. If you are afraid of flying in planes, don't go see this. Otherwise, I would highly recommend going to see this movie. Denzel does not disappoint (does he ever?)

John Goodman is fucking HILARIOUS, in an otherwise serious toned movie.

Wreck it Ralph. Bad freaking ass. 10/10

Brave. Was on an animated kick apparently  Didn't like it much, definitely the weakest Pixar I've seen. 4/10

American Reunion. Liked the tits in the car scene. Ended up playing 2k13 instead of finishing it. 1/10

Not your typical James Bond movie, tells some of his history, etc. The villain is a gay super computer hijacker (ex. MI6 agent), he does some impossible things. Not as bad as the invisible car in Die Another Day, but pretty ridiculous. Daniel Craig seems to get beat up and shot a lot more than the other actors that played the part. Not much in the way of good sex scenes. I don't think it was one of the all time best James Bond movies, but it was a good movie and worth seeing. Guess what exactly Skyfall is. Guess who is M and Miss Moneypenny at the end of the movie.

I don't know what possesses me to watch terribly depressing movies at 5:00 on Saturday mornings. Not Dancer in the Dark painful, but still brutal.

Tilda Swinton is fantastic.

Stupid link......."We need to talk about Kevin" was the movie.

Football Factory: Freaking loved it. Brutal and funny all in one.

The Firm: There are two versions. One is from 88 and starring Gary Oldman, and then a remake from 2009. Similar stories in each movie, but told from a different characters perspective.

There are two pretty good movies that both involve the Rettondon Range Rover Murders. Similar movies told in a style from different charchters perspectives:

Essex Boys: Stars Sean Bean
Rise of the Footsoldier:

there is also a third, but I never saw it:

Bonded By Blood.

ID: You probably won't be able to find it here in the states. I watched it on BBC when living in England. It was great. Keep an eye out, you never know.

For kicks, I checked out Green Street Hooligans 2, yes, they made a sequel. It was ok. Nowhere near as good as the original.

I've seen several of these on Netflix. Football Factory is by far my favorite.

I actually want to see that one, I heard she was great.

This weekend I saw "Chernobyl Diaries". I didn't think it was as awful as apparently most everyone else did, but it was too much like all of the other American horror movies this century, predictably unpredictable plot twist, combined with a big "reveal" that doesn't really explain anything. Honestly I wonder if Peli is just going to make everything like he is going to make a franchise out of it, because that's the only explanation for the way the plot transpired. Since most things aren't franchise worthy, it would be helpful if directors tried to make the last 30 minutes of these movies a bit more satisfying. 2.5/5, not great, not terrible.
