The Book of Eli. It was OK. Had some pretty good action/fight scenes, but it felt like Mad Max with a biblical theme.

recently watched

Hanna - Pretty good flick, but wierd.

Captain America - it wasn't bad, but wasn't great.

X-MEN First Class - pretty good movie. Though I was getting worn out on X-Men movies, I did enjoy this one.

Whiteout - First five minutes are the best, Kate Beckinsale in her undies. The rest goes down hill.

Thor - Really liked it, with the exception of my wife and 13 year old drooling all over the couch.

Gladiator - My name is Maximus Desmus Meridius, blah blah blah, you know the rest. Love that movie.

Zodiac - Really well done film about the Zodiac killer and his cryptic writings.

Since I mentioned it in the next James Bond flick thread...

This is a movie that many folks in my age group seem to remember as being one of the scarier movies they say as a kid. I had no memory of seeing it* so wanted to check it out to see what the fuss is about.

Actually not a terrible film...typical "British people are creepy" vibe and probably something that would have at least given me a shiver or two back in the day.

Then I watched the alternate ending.

I would have shit myself if I had seen that as a kid instead of the somewhat milder revised ending they instead went with.
What the hell was that, a freakin' Skeksis?!

*I do have some vague memories of a film that I remembered as being scary that I thought was The Watcher in the Woods, but now realize was a different film entirely (and I have no idea what it was).

Homeschooled Kids... outperforming their mainstream peers since the mid '70s.

God I loved that movie. Can't tell you the first thing about it except there was a blond chick that may or may not have worn a white dress and a blindfold at some point in the film.
