The most fun of all the Christmas Carol adaptations:

We always pull this out at the start of the holiday season. Michael Caine has a lot of fun Scrooging around with the Muppets, and Gonzo and Rizzo help keep it highbrow as the narrators. :tongue2:

We just watched that last night...wholesale awesomeness.

Better than I was expecting. Giamatti is an unexpectedly perfect fit as King John.

A bit of an aside but I am thrilled that films the past few years have done a much better job of showing longswords wielded in a (roughly) more historically accurate manner. Half-swording, using the entire weapon etc etc.

Downfall

Based on the accounts from Hitler's last secretary, it lays out the final days of Hitler in the Berlin bunker. Good movie if you are into history and WWII.

(You may know one scene since it has been overused on youtube.)

FInally saw Borderland last night. If you like Indie horror films, this one is for you. It was cliche in spots, but the acting actually wasn't that bad, the chick was a 35 on a scale of 1-10 (at least in my eyes), and the story had a twist or two and a bit of nice gore. I'd put this at the very top of the After Dark Horror series.

Definition a fictional adaptation but it's still the best representation of just what an evil bastard Uday Hussein was I've seen done (outside of the actual torture videos he made which it was my misfortune to see).
