Watched all 3 of the Swedish movies in the 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' series. They were all pretty good (I had read the books earlier this year), and watching with subtitles doesn't bother me.

The actress playing Salander was excellent. Of course, almost nobody in Hollywood will have seen these movies, so they'll probably give an Oscar to the actress that plays her in the English language version that opens this week.

Watched them before as well. Awesome movies, great acting. There are rave reviews for the US version, but from the trailers you can tell that the actors looked to have copied the swedish version style exactly. The swedish version was very raw and violent. I hope the US version keeps it that way.

I was lucky enough to see the first film in the theater when it was first released (and before the US based hype machine got rolling). Oddly enough it was originally titled "Men Who Hate Women" in Sweden (I probably wouldn't have been interested if I wasn't already familiar with the book).

I agree absolutely that Noomi did a fantastic job in her role.

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs...

very creative but a so so movie. Definitely not on par with Pixar nor the occasional gems from competitors, like how to train your Dragon.

probably went in with too high of expectations. Didn't regret watching it, it just wasn't on par with the reviews.

I watched Scarface for the first time last night while I was Christmas shopping online. I missed the first 10 minutes. Thought it was a pretty good flick. The last hour or so was gold. The first half other than then when the setup and chainsaw scenes were just ok. The push it too the limit montage was great. It needed updated with Rick Ross’s version though lol.

I would give it a 7/10.
