God I loved that movie. Can't tell you the first thing about it except there was a blond chick that may or may not have worn a white dress and a blindfold at some point in the film.

Both are accurate...although it's not the main character chick (same girl who was in Ice Castles).

Once of Costners best movies, if you ask me. Plus, any movie that Dane Cook gets killed in is a winner to me............

You gotta love his character's stupid audacity even though you knew how it was going to end for him.

Rum Diary

It was actually pretty terrible. The humor felt forced and there wasn't much of that. There was barely a plot. It was just a big incoherent disaster, which is odd considering the point of it.

So, it mirrors the book pretty well. Fair enough.

Not a bad action flick; however, I had a hard time figuring out who the bad guys were. I think it turned out that everyone was a "bad guy" (i.e. assassin, killer, and/or guy that orders killings). Supposedly based on a true story (i.e. book titled "Feather Men"); my guess is that if it was, only about 1% of the movie is actually factural. The other 99% is glamorized fabrication for movie effects.

Wasn't too big a fan... But mainly because Statham was the main guy and DeNiro was merely a prisoner in the movie. Limited dialogue for DeNiro, yet, making Statham the main guy?! No thanks.

On Thursday night/Friday morning. Really liked it. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is just funny when trying to sling together a sentence of cuss words. Ryan Gosling is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors. Just gets in the perfect roles for him.

Today was fucking terrible. First off, I don't have to say the game but that didn't help.

Then I remember I promised to take my baby sister out next time I got home.

Well she wanted to go to the movies. So guess what fucking movie I had to sit through?

I'll give you a hint, it looked like a gay dudes vampire dream. Keep in mind its been a point of pride to say I've never seen a minute of this Twilight bullshit.
Now I can honestly say I would never watch another simply because its rubbish.

Next time I'll just give her money and drop her off at the mall. :(

Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. By that I mean it was formulaic & not particularly original BUT it was watchable with some competent acting. I was expecting it to be a disaster.

Whereas I was pleasantly surprised by GL, Conan was a huge let down. Terrible, terrible dialog and a weak story that stole more from the Arnold film than the original stories. H.E. Howard's prose deserves far, far better.

On a positive note Momoa was actually decent in the role. It's just a shame he didn't have a better director & writers behind him (and he needs blue contacts).

The most fun of all the Christmas Carol adaptations:

We always pull this out at the start of the holiday season. Michael Caine has a lot of fun Scrooging around with the Muppets, and Gonzo and Rizzo help keep it highbrow as the narrators. :tongue2:
