Since I mentioned it in the next James Bond flick thread...

This is a movie that many folks in my age group seem to remember as being one of the scarier movies they say as a kid. I had no memory of seeing it* so wanted to check it out to see what the fuss is about.

Actually not a terrible film...typical "British people are creepy" vibe and probably something that would have at least given me a shiver or two back in the day.

Then I watched the alternate ending.

I would have shit myself if I had seen that as a kid instead of the somewhat milder revised ending they instead went with.
What the hell was that, a freakin' Skeksis?!

*I do have some vague memories of a film that I remembered as being scary that I thought was The Watcher in the Woods, but now realize was a different film entirely (and I have no idea what it was).

Just finished watching Conatagion. Overall, I really liked the movie and how it portrayed how society would react to such an epidemic. What I didn't like was how horribly the movie unraveled at the end. It's like there was so much thought in the buildup that the director shot his load to early and threw something together to call it an ending.

Anyone else's thoughts on how the movie ended? Or overall?

Above average for a romantic comedy, but still a romantic comedy. Ryan Gosling has become one of my favorite actors, but that has very little to do with this film.

Meh. Underwhelming, cliche, dull. I found the characters thoroughly disinteresting.

"In Time" in the theater. It was good, not great. I expected to barely tolerate Timberlake in the lead role but I thought he was pretty good. I like scifi concept films like this. The concept was very cool and they did alot with it but I thought they kinda gave up on the ending. Definitely worth a redbox or netflix rental if you like scifi.
