Kevin (Tim “Asshat” Racadb) Warren (ex-B1G Commissioner)

What @Oh8ch said earlier sums it up perfectly: "If a kid in the B1G gets sick, they sue us. If my kid gets sick, I sue them." It's absolute pure cowardice on Warren's (and any complicit B1G presidents) part. Fuck. Them.

Simple solution; everyone signs a waiver. Nobody is suing anybody.

Now, Presidents and Chancellors, any other reasons to cancel football this fall?

Fuck or walk pal. Time to announce your intentions.

Don't care what the waiver says, some kid dies from COVID-19 and these guys will be filing into court like college students offered free pizza.

COVID-19 is transmitted most efficiently by physical contact. I think the logic is that a contact sport will provide a much richer environment for transfer than attending classes. As for the JoePaU and NotreDame parties, an ambulance chaser can't claim that is the responsibility of the University, but contact sports set up nicely for the bastards.

The reality is we've seen contact has less to do with it than isolation and smart decisions.

NHL players make all kinds of contact, NBA players spend all day breathing on each other, MLB players spend most of their time alone on the field. And yet, MLB is the one having Covid outbreaks. NHL and NBA teams have been in a bubble while MLB teams have been traveling, and some players have gone out to socialize. Almost every outbreak is traced back to those decisions.

College players could be bubbled and take classes online. It's possible, but you need leadership to make it happen. The B1G appears to be sorely lacking in that department.

I was thinking that if does happen, it sure will be cold sitting through games in January and February. Than I realized with limits on seating I'll never get tickets anyway...

This makes about as much sense as Spring football. You're still looking at two seasons in one year, and what's the goal? I guess just winning the B1G. No bowls, no CFP.

Actually I doubt there will be many bowls even if we play in Autumn. With no fans in attendance the purpose of them - hotels, travel, money - goes away.

Grow a pair and play a conference season in Fall or wait until Fall of 2021. The other options seem ridiculous.

If the PAC-12 also plays maybe somebody will come up with a B1G winner vs, PAC-12 winner championship bowl game. The school's big money from bowl games cones from TV revenue; not hotels, airline tickets, and rental cars, etc.

Just sayin': Depends on who actually plays and how much they play. Think about it, giving players like Jack Miller and C.J. Stroud meaningful reps in as many games as possible could pay huge dividends in a 2021 Fall season. Winter/Spring football is a "freebee", it doesn't count against any player's eligibility either.

To me, that says he/certain presidents knew that they carried enough weight to push things against the direction they wanted to go. His only hope at this point is the rest of the conferences not playing more than a game or 2 before having to shut it down. If they make it 4+ games, let alone a whole season, he'll look like he pushed too early and will look weak to the wrong people on the athletic side of the conference.
