Kareem WaLLker (dismissed from ttun)

If Walker's goal is to maximize his potential and make it to the league, then his decision is puzzling. But at the end of the day, he can do whatever he wants. This is the only part that has an "egg on face" aspect to it for Kareem:

October 30: Walker re-affirms commitment to Ohio State, talks about enrolling early

November 3: Walker de-commits from Ohio State

Important to understand how difficult a decision it is for these kids. That's why I'll never hold ill feelings towards them. I myself have gone through many situations where your future is ahead of you and you have some difficult decisions to make. The mind may bounce around a few times before you come to the decision you want. Not easy being young and a bunch of adults are trying to tell you what your best option is.

The four-star running back had a tough time getting going in the game and it seemed like he waited too long in the backfield for blockers and then never shot through open holes. It could be a question of speed, because it didn’t seem like he was all that sudden with the ball in his hands. There wasn’t much running room, to be fair, but Walker didn’t make much happen, either.

He styles himself after Marshon Lynch... the issue is he's not a very thick guy and he does struggle breaking tackles. Exactly why I was really floored with Williams Tape.

There's a reason his back up had a better YPC than him.

Well maybe the better lesson learned is that Meyer evaluates talent really well and knows when it's OK to cut bait.

Agreed. It's interesting to watch the difference in Urban's approach to a longshot like Rashan Gary where he's pulled out all the stops despite the fact Ohio State has never really been it and the manner in which Ohio State just kind of accepted Walker's inevitable decommitment while moving on quickly with Antonio Williams. It seemed they weren't all that interested in getting back in the race for Walker.

Excellent point. I've been disagreeing with the comparison to Green because in the battle of Green vs Elliot, Meyer chose Elliot. In this case, Meyer chose Walker. But, as you guys point out, he also chose to let Walker....uh...walk.

I'm not ready to draw any conclusions about Walker other than he obviously prefers to attend that school in Ann Arbor. Which shows very poor judgment.

Other than that, I'm nonetheless eager to see in the B1G a running back who has been characterized as elite. It will be interesting to observe his development. UM hasn't established a very impressive track record in that regard.
