Frye and Bears: there is a lot of buzz about Bears going for Dan Roushar(Tulane OC) as OL coach. I believe he interviews today.
Bears had also interviewed ND OL coach Joe Rudolph.
This greatly improves the chances of Frye staying in Columbus for a few more years

good for him - I don't think he's getting the credit he deserves for dealing with the injuries on the offensive line and turning it into a functional unit again....
Hopefully the next guy in is able to fill some of the gaps in recruiting but is also one who can continue to pluck gems out of the transfer portal.

Well shoot, just when we were coming around on him. His recruiting was pretty poor but player development and scheme turned out to be very good, so while I don't love to see this it is not a heart breaker. At least he didn't do some lateral move to PSU or ttun like some of our ex-coaches. Best of luck in the NFL to Justin and thanks for your critical role in bringing another title to Columbus.

Good luck to Coach Frye! He did a hell of a job this past season when it seemed like all hope was lost with two devastating injuries. There would be no National Championship this season without his talent as a coach!

Buckeyes only allowed 16 sacks on the season, 1.0 per game, with a makeshift offensive line for most of it, and produced a pair of 1,000 yard rushers.
