Wow....that sucks. I assumed he might skip some workouts in the summer, but it sounds like he wasn't always locked in for practice and was skipping film room completely. How is that going to work in the NFL? I hope he gets locked in, the Browns need him to be.

Well yeah. The effects of alcohol on the body don't usually hamper your ability to be an NFL player. Inhaling smoke into your lungs (do they make the distinction between weed and tobacco?) will cause immediate damage that impacts athletic performance.

I grew up with the Browns on Sunday TV: Graham, Lavelli, Groza, Motley, Hickerson, Knoll, Gillam, MacSpeedie, Willis… if I gave my old brain a minute or two it would probably spit out even more and then run through Plum, Brown, Warfield, Kelly, Dr. Frank Ryan, about 3 of the Houston boys after their OSU days… brought to you by Pfeiffer beer in the imperial quart, with the brownie kicking off to open the game telecast.
I've been on one long hissy fit since the pumpkining Bengals grabbed the Dayton and Columbus markets and foisted Mikey boy's team on me.
Each year I keep hoping the draft will reveal a return to some wisdom within the organization, but this seems to have been the final surrender. Mistake by the Lake indeed.

Sometimes lucid, mostly confused
I love CFB and use the NFL to help me with my Sunday afternoon nap that I need after binging on CFB on Saturday. I treat the NFL for what it is: entertainment wrapped in the context of a sport.
The Browns have been terrible at playing football, and more importantly, they have been boring. Johnny Cleveland may be a bust or hall of famer, but one thing he will not be is boring. As opposed to Weeden being sacked for a 7 yard loss, Johnny will will run sideline to sideline and be sacked for a 27 yard loss or throw a pick or maybe throw a TD - but it will be entertaining. I might actually stay awake during a Browns game when he is playing.
