Jameis Winston (QB Browns)

After reflecting on this a bit after re-reading the documents, one thing really stands out to me. She had no time to formulate a story. Not that I'm an expert on this, but the reason it's called "morning after" regret is usually people have the regret.. in the morning, the next day. From her text records, which support the timeline, everything happened within a 45 minute window, that includes both the cab ride from the bar to the apartment and Winston taking her home on his scooter. Within a few minutes after that, she texted the friend she was with earlier in the night and said she needed to talk to her the next day, and then called two other friends and told them she had been raped. One of the friends called her parents and the cops. Nothing indicates any kind of motive for a premeditated set-up job. She would have to be one devious little miscreant to come up with such a story on the spot. The only thing missing is an explanation for why she was "incoherent" during the incident. I'm not saying I have any idea what happened, but her version of events is certainly plausible.

Oh man, I've had that "morning after" regret. It sucks.

These cases really cause me to look back on my college years and my 20s with even more regret and shame. I know I looked at women as just another number or so-called conquest. Drunken hook ups. Early morning regret. I never really considered the consequences, not just, potentially, to me but for others. If anything, young men should really pay attention to these cases and learn to treat women with a lot more respect. I know I wish I had.

There was no "victim" and no "attacker".

I understand that you have an agenda, but Jameis Winston is innocent.

I understand your legal reference point, but I found it noteworthy that Meggs repeatedly referred to the accuser as a "victim" during yesterday's press conference.

I prefer using the term "not charged" regarding Winston.

That's really the long and the short of it.

Is Flydell still a fireman in Tampa? The 'victim' may want his (ahem) firehose and they're from the same town.

I can imagine it playing out like Logjammin: Meine dispatcher says there's a cat stuck in your tree?

Etc., Etc. He finds the snowflakes holes better than he ever did at OSU.

And no one in Tallahassee had an agenda?

I watched the live broadcast of the statement yesterday. I never heard the word "innocent" uttered once. Maybe you can find a clip of that part and post it.

Sure did hear the word "victim" a (MarkMay) ton of times, though.

Worst case scenario is that he's a rapist who got away with it. Best case scenario is that he's a scumbag who likes to gangbang drunk chicks with his buddies.

In either case, "innocent" isn't the word that I would attach to Winston.
