I think he was only the designated catcher to give Victor regular rest. In the playoffs, Victor could easily play fulltime catcher. He won't have to play first or DH or anything.

Well actually Jacobs Field is not really that far away from "corporate" stadium. Even if the naming rights are sold, we will still have Cleveland Browns Stadium and I don't think that there many other cities without "corporate" stadiums.

Maybe you are right but some major-league pitchers have a comfort zone was certain catchers. Remember Steve Carlton and Tim McCarver and there have been others. However, no sense in our arguing who might or might not be a playoff catcher for a playoff pitcher. It will be the playoffs!:biggrin:

Sadly, I just got my email telling me that I have not been selected in the lottery for the opportunity to buy division series tickets. :(

Edit: Perhaps that's for the best. As hot as Blake has been lately, I did watch him stare at strike three for the third out in the ninth on Sunday. Maybe I should stay away...

Fortunately I haven't recieved that email yet....Hopefully the one I recieve is a little better.
