We've got so little rain so far this year that the northern end of Bayou Terrebonne (north of Hwy 90) has completely dried up.

As in the bottom is solid with cracks in the ground.

I've seen it get really narrow and shallow up there, but never completely empty.

Today is supposed to be our first shot at the century mark. Too damned hot.

I took my customary walk around Memorial Stadium at lunch and just about melted. You shouldn't have to carry a liter of ice water for a two-mile stroll.
