Was going back to my parents' house from a wedding in Zanesville. It's a 15 minute drive from Zanesville to my parents' house. It fucking hailed the entire way. Hope my car isn't too messed up, but some of those stones were big enough to see bouncing off the pavement.

Hope you didn't get hail damage.

My car was seriously pummeled by hail once - real dents over the whole thing and a huge amount of work to fix. I watched it happen with my nose pressed to the glass of the GEICO office building where I worked. At least my claim went through quickly. :p

When God throws hundreds of ice balls at me I try to avoid windows, especially with my nose.

If I'd thought more about what that shift would be like, I'd have walked outside and tried to get hit.

"No sir, you can't get insurance now to pay for hail damage from an hour ago."

"The damage won't happen until after I get the policy, I promise. Don't you trust me?"

I think it's fine, I'll find out tomorrow morning. I was just waiting for them to get just a bit bigger before I pulled under something. Never did.

We had some insane lightning here in Nashport. Had a handful of strikes that were less than 100 yards away from the house. It was so loud.

Yup. Mom and dad have a big glass door on the back of the house for the deck. Sat in the kitchen staring out the window for an hour or so, just watching lightning.

There was so much that it was like daytime with blackout lightning, if that makes sense.

I would have liked that. I like storms of any sort so long as I'm not driving through them or flying a kite with a key tied to it. That's only Tuesdays and Fridays, though.

When my father was still among the living we would gather on the front porch and watch lightning and storms until the lightning and rain drove us inside. (the porch had an aluminum roof!)
