drove home from Houston Friday.

caught rain in several places on way home.
get here, and everything is still completely freaking dry.

drained my entire pool today to clean the scum off the bottom of it.
less than 10 minutes after dumping a couple thousand gallons into my yard, there was no standing water anywhere. not even a puddle.
the dirt that was swamped and turned to mud was dry less than an hour later.

this is fucking absurd.

I was driving down 270 on the west side of CBus on June 4th. It started raining so hard at the Dublin exit that traffic was crawling at about 15mph. Before I hit the 70 exit we started getting hail. It was hard to concentrate on driving with my son screaming and crying that he just wanted to go home. :(
