Again, I don't disagree with that. My point is just that he's relatively young, certainly for this job, and it's his first HC gig and it looks to me like it is starting to wear on him at a higher level and/or he's having a harder time disguising it.

I think he’s got 1 more year. At this point he needs to flop it out and prove he’s got the biggest at the table and make the changes where needed. Need a transfer portal QB. Relinquish play calling. Fire Fleming, Frye, Dennis and get a transition plan for LJ. Get JL on staff full time, hire Joe Rudolph as OL coach and a young, dynamic QB Coach who played the freaking position.

If he was capable of seeing all that and doing something about it, he would have done it already.

Give him one more year and he will do the same shit he's done the past 5 years. He isn't going to magically change overnight.

Another year of terrible OL and DL recruitment and bad QB development (let backups sling it in blowout games, 3rd Base Day!) and a 4th straight loss to scUM will bury this program for 10 years. Can OSU afford to give him another year?? I wouldn’t but I’m just a fan.

Yup.

I'll hope against hope that he has some kind of epiphany after these last two games and makes some very necessary changes, but I ain't betting on it.

His boss just gave him a strong performance review and a raise for losing the last two games of the year last year. I wouldn't hold my breath.
