If their kicker makes two field goals they win. Dog walked? Nah. Point spreads are for gamblers and suckers. Neither of which I am. It’s a rivalry game. Said it a hundred times - records don’t matter.

I hear ya and mostly agree. But damn. Our O just got pantsed with every chance to get it going. Day is not built for this type of football. Michigan is. He will never beat Michigan again unless there is a big NCAA penalty. Mark it down.

Is Michigan not a bad football team? That excuse isn’t gonna fly here the “well you throw the records out” one

Those scUM teams cooper lost to in 95/96 were underachieving teams that were still respectable. Day just lost to a bad bad team missing 2 of their best players and basically pulling fans out to play on the secondary

Hartline doesn’t need to be an elite OC elsewhere to show his chops.

Does he know the game well enough to hire an elite staff? Can he recruit an entire roster outside of the WR room? Does he understand the culture needed to be successful at Ohio State.

I think the answer is yes across the board. If we move on from Day, Hartline is going to be plucked by another P4 school that recognizes the upside he can bring their program.

It’s risky but the reward would be worth it IMO.

I see what you’re saying but I could bring up the fact that last year he couldn’t get any of his room to actually throw a block. If you can’t manage your own room- how do you think he can manage an entire team? Again , I’m. It saying he isn’t the answer and I certainly like him more than Freeman slightly, more than Fickell by a mile and more than Vrabel by a marathon worth of miles.

And yes if I’m another team I’m taking him SIMPLY because of his recruiting chops. At least he will win the recruiting battles. If I’m an AD of a lower team I absolutely try to hire him cause nothing to lose. Lots to lose st OSU.

And I blame Kelly for the continued run calls. He is the OC. Most people wanted Day to give up play calling and I’m guessing many of the most vocal today wanted it. I did not. Nevertheless, you can’t want and get a new OC then turn around and STILL blame Day.

Day is the head coach, it’s his team, he coulda stepped in at any point and overruled chip of it was truly him making those calls.

What are you watching? We are in the playoffs it’s a 100% lock. We aren’t getting jumped by 3 loss teams with multiple Michigan level losses.
