HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

What I’m struggling with the most is that any point total by the Buckeyes in the last 3 losses to them would have comfortably won the game today. Why TF did they go to this primitive game plan and play calling today??? Make it make sense.

It’s like they were trying to lose.

I just don't get it. He's forgotten more about football than I'll ever know but it sure looked like we were more worried about running up the middle for some toughness cred or something than doing what works and taking what the defense gives you. Makes no sense. Zero.

Portal era a change in HC followed by a less than immediate announcement equals half the team leaving.

But if you get the right coach, that won't really matter.

Good news is i have little faith that Moore is a worthy adversary and if they get an ounce of what they deserve then we'll be fine. Just have to get the right person.

Mark me down in favor of Vrabes or Fick. Idc what anyone else is saying. Those are my choices.

Bc in cold weather, our team shrinks and becomes a shell of whatever it’s supposed to be in the first place.

They 100% did NOT trust Will Howard today, and rightfully so in retrospect. But they still could’ve game planned away from the strength of Michigans defense…..it’s unreal that this is how we approached this game. Laughable.

Yea Moore doesn’t scare me at all. He managed to stumble into a win today I’ll give him that but a good coach wins by more than a last second FG. Day once again was Michigans MVP

Call me crazy, I am, but if we moved on from Day, I’m going Clemson style, and promoting Brian Hartline to HC.

It nearly mirrors what Clemson did except when Dabo was promoted to HC from WR coach, he got some experience at end of year when they fired HC in-season.

Hartline is an Ohio kid, insanely good recruiter, and can absolutely be a CEO style HC while delegating all (3) phases to top notch coordinators.

And truth be told, as close as Brian and Day are, how could Hartline not watch today’s train wreck and think to himself “what the fuck are we doing? Why are we wasting my unit today??”.

Yeah the Indiana game plan wins this game by Similiar margin. Just play to win and when you're up 2 scores at the end you can manball to your hearts content

If they can’t lure a big name I 100% agree on rolling the dice with Hartline.

He couldn’t even be trusted to call plays. I love him as a recruiter but that’s why everyone loves him. Eventually he will leave to go somewhere else and learn on their dime.

Yeah, I’ve been a supporter, think he’s a good man, think he’s had some really bad luck/calls go against him in some past big game losses, and have given some leeway based on him not having many HC years under his belt and being hopeful for growth, but this offensive play calling, and then the Eberflusian denial of it being an issue in the presser, tells me that he’s never going to be mentally tough enough to handle the gig. I’d still give him this playoffs, assuming they get in, in the slim hope that now that the worst has happened it somehow frees him of his demons and they come together, play balls to the wall, and win four (and because I think the team will check out if they can him now) but if they don’t get in (fire him ASAP if that happens), or they get and and don’t close the deal, then it’s time to show him the door.
