HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

I’m not one to call for coaches jobs, especially when emotions are so high right after a game.
But it’s clear that changes need to be made. Day has shown that he’s willing to make changes and adapt, so we’re in store for yet another round of changes. Because this loss was worse than last year, much worse. And that’s saying a lot

I'm pretty sure they (NFL) did with the Washington opening and another opening (might've been Chicago). Although, I'm going to guess Day's agent wants those stories out there so who knows if true.

I don't think he's going to leave for just any NFL job....Chicago has no offensive talent outside of Fields and maybe Kmet and I don't need to go into the issues that Washington has....

Day seems like a helluva guy and says all the right things. But he's lost more games to scUM in the last 12 months than the previous 2 head guys did in 17 years. Last Saturday on November is what you're graded on. Day is failing badly.

And perhaps I’m also trying very hard NOT to get on the Fire Day bandwagon simply because I know there is about zero chance of it happening.

Day deserves some flack for his offensive gameplan and play calling too. Seems like teams that force the Bucks to be patient with long drives cause Day problems. He is not a flawless caller - multiple head scratching plays this year.

And fix the f’n red zone offense.

Just looking back at some of the comments after last year's TTUN debacle, and I'm quoting you because the same comment could be made today.

After the opening script was exhausted the Buckeyes scored one touchdown the rest of the day. Red zone? 4 trips produced a total of 6 points. :bonk:

It will be 4 years minimum since last time Ohio State won by this time next year. And we’ll be more fully removed from any Urban guys that may understand what it takes. All I can think about is “prove it” next year - beat ND, fun sure. Hang 60 on Rutgers, whatever. You have to win this Game.

This feeling sucks for a whole year.
Urban and Tressel's teams played The Game like they EXPECTED to win. These last two years, they've looked tentative and full of self doubt. That falls on one guy.

Unfortunately day will probably keep winning 10/11 games a year up until the Michigan game. So it’s going to be a long 4/5 years maybe more until anything is done.
Which is why the best case scenario is him doing what needs to be done to address play calling, either let Kevin Wilson take over or bring someone new in and let them take over.
