When was the last time a brand new quarterback in his 2nd game beat the buckeyes??? when was the last time a brand new qb passed for 300 yards against the buckeyes??? When was the last time a brand new qb led his team to a victory over the buckeyes ?? As far as that goes when was the last time a really good qb beat the buckeyes ?? when was the last time a good running baCK BEAT THE buckeyes???? I know the bucks lost last year but you are saying that a brand new qb and running back will beat the buckeyes? ?? sorry i dont see it happening?? lol who does???

I can sit here and say we have two potential All-Americans in our secondary in Jenkins and Jam O'Neal, what the hell does it mean? Nothing. Also, I never thought it was a good thing to have somebody in the secondary leading a team in tackles.

I agree, Miami FL has the best SS in the country in Brandon Meriwether and the second best FS in the country (Only behind LaRon Landry) in Kenny Phillips. Those two are accompanied by a solid duo of corners in Glenn Sharpe & Randy Phillips.

UTMNC, Not taking anything away from Texas' secondary it's a great group of solid players, but I think you're making it to be more than it really is.

UTMNC, we have a little while until the next NFL Draft, anything can happen from now until then i.e. Vince Young not being projected in the first round last year until his breakout 05/06 season.

Have you forgotten that you lost your QB that singlehandedly won you a national title last year? Don't try to prove the previous statement wrong, Vince Young won that title for Texas. You cannot simply reload the moxie that he brought to that football team.

So T. Smith by himself is going to win a MNC for tOSU? Good Luck. V. Young had a ton of help along the way, and Smith will need the same.

Miami didn't lose any top ten picks from their secondary. This is a secondary that led the nation in pass defense and pass efficiency defense.
