Future Football Schedules (Updated 8/31/2024)

Another thing, I always thought that the scheduling of MAC type teams from nearby was a way to throw some income their way. But, Florida A&M???? Maybe this is some clandestine FL recruiting mission? :sneaky: :paranoid:

Yup, there were rumors that they tried to get out of the Cal series.

The flipside is that is a very favorable schedule for a B1G/BCS run.

Why? Cal's a decent mid-level BCS program (that should at least be a pre-season top 25 team) who we haven't played in forty years in a locale that has both a large alumni base and makes a great road trip for non-cali alumni.

Any info on whether they were trying to replace it with a higher profile OOC game or just another in-state game? If it's the former, I guess that palatable. If it's the latter.....:bonk:

That 2013 non-conf schedule is dreadful. Ugh.
Well, its not uber competitive, but it does have 2 BCS teams on it, one a middle tier Pac-12 team typically (with decent recruiting lately) and the other a low-tier SEC team (with decent recruiting under Franklin). I think they are... ok. Not every year can have a historically great non-conference opponent right? Right?.... :(

The best OOC games combine a top 5 opponent and a great locale. That's pretty much Texas, USC and (with a 90 minute drive) LSU.

Other than that it's kind of a trade off between opponent and location. I'd rather see a top 20 team in the bay area or Seattle than a top 10 team in Blacksburg VA. Norman OK is utterly craptacular but might be worth the trip if it's two top 5 teams going at it.

The school was founded in 1887 in Tallahassee as the State Normal College for Negroes on Copeland Street, the current site of Florida State University.

So maybe if we called them the Original Florida State University...or at least lil FSU or something.:slappy:

Isn't this the school that got in that huge brawl with Miami?

And by good video...I mean on what I hope we never see on a football field that we are playing on..A fight sure ok..things get heated maybe a punch I can sorta understand that..but what's with all the kicking? It's a disgrace you gotta kick kids off the team and fire a coach when this Thursday night sissy fight breaks out on the field.
