Does Michigan go to a bowl game this year?

Utah looks like a make or break game. Tough to have that in your opener and your QB just got on campus. But.
If they get by Utah, they could likely go Bowling. I like Utah in this game by 10. :tongue2:

Ehh, i think theycould hit it out 6-6 They should still have a decent defense. Unless dick-rod turns it in to UWV's D i'd like to see them in some really bad bowl, and get the snot kicked outa them by a Akron or Kent team!
heh okay, that was a stretch

If they are 6-6, they will get a bid because of their name; but for no other reason. From the Cinco de Mayo perspective, they look to be a team that will be good on defense and unbelievably wretched on offense. They may end up winning games 3-0 in triple over-time.

While the media has their love fest with the exciting offensive style of the rodriquez spread option; this could well be the most deadly-dull, unwatchable football team in living memory.

let's not get hasty now, until Charlie Weis is allowed to start recruiting thugs at Notre Dame they will continue to challenge Michigan for that distinction

I've no love for the Vulvarenes, but we do need them to be successful. We're taking enough Buffalo Bills bullshit without the Game being watered down because they suck. I hate scUM and dislike ND, but I want to see TSUN in a bowl game every year. ND could never win again and, as we say down south, "it don't confront me".

Michigan can be good again once they fire dickrod and hire a real coach, until then I think we all can safely laugh at their struggles without worrying to much about the integrity of the rivalry

I'm really glad that someone else feels that way. I've no love for scUM, but I want them to win every game every year (except one, of course). The rivalry means nothing without some degree of parity.

I agree, they do need to be good. However, this just isn't a year for that to come to fruition. Give RR a few seasons though to recruit to his system and I think the rivalry will regain its mystique. I actually like that a character like RR is up there brewing controversy. Makes for good stories, more coverage. Just think, in a couple of years you'll have regular matchups of class vs. no class. Personally, I love that. Sure, it's not Woody and Bo, but I think today's world isn't decent guy vs. decent guy anymore. It's good guy vs. the bastard, it's dramatic, and it's THE GAME at the forefront once more.

:p

Yeah, though... at least I hope so. A total collapse wouldn't be good for the conference or the rivalry.

While it's fun to think of Michigan having a loosing season you might want to consider how much harder it will be for the Bucks to get a shot at the BCS bowl if the last game of the year is against a 5 loss Michigan team. Illinois has to replace Mendenhall, Wisconsin usually takes a loss early in the season. Each week from October to November will present 5 Big Ten teams loosing a game to the voting public. In short the Bucks will have to be Perfect at the end to get a title shot.

I know all the logical reasons we should hope for scUM to do well and thats all well and good.

Then I think of their arrogant ass fans, scumbag coach and every cocksucking traitor thats ever gone up there and hope they lose every fucking game they ever play from here to the end of time.

Fuck Mi**igan.
