Here's what I have. Someone came to Joe Pa, saying they witnessed a molestation. The person told Joe Pa to tell his boss, Joe Pa told his boss, boss did nothing, Joe Pa thinks everything is alright and that the person was being a sinister liar. That's what I have.

My advice to you is this...if you ever somehow manage to find yourself in a position of authority do not hire any of your friends, don't even think about it for a single second.

I can't even begin to imagine the incredibly bizarre workplace environment that must have existed at PSU after these occurred. How do you look Sandusky in the eye? How do you continue to place your trust in him to help your football team, knowing he did what he did?

No shit, he was bringing kids to practice after that, you can't tell me Joe or McQueary didn't notice.

The whistle blower was the 15 year old boy that came forward in 2009.

McQueary didn't do [Mark May]. You witness a rape at your workplace. The perp is a former employee and superior of yours, the victim is weak and helpless. What do you do?

a) stop the rape
b) attempt to summon other people to assist you in stopping the rape
c) call the police
d) drive home and call your dad

Sorry. McQueary is a piece of [Mark May] and can rot in hell.

I don't disagree that he handled the situation reprehensibly, but it sounds to me that his testimony will be key to the charges--including a perjury charge--against administrative officials much, much higher up on the food chain, perhaps, ultimately, all the way up to Spanier.

How do you stand there and glad hand him when he's in the company of little boys he's bringing to closed team practices in 2007?

I cannot believe not one single coach did not rip him limb from limb.

You know, the one thing I will say is that put in the same situation, I don't know how I would have reacted on the spot in that moment. It had to be a very fucked up thing to stumble across. Given that, the problem here is that whatever the number of letters, including e) report it to Paterno, f) Report it to the AD and VP that also happened, the problem is that they all had to end with "c"- calling the police. And it didn't. That's the fucking problem. I'm also confused as to why his dad, being at least a half a step away from it, didn't offer some perspective. Whatever... they all suck.

There is an un-civil war going on and it will be very ugly and very bloody.
Now we see the full arrogance of Paterno. He built this thing and now feels it's being stolen from him. I bet he finishes out the season. But this could go on for months!
This is just Bowden with a far more damaging reason for an exit - but with the same "I built this place" mentality.

Thing is, even if they sorta did, it does not matter. They are not bigger than the combined alumni taking control when things go south.

2 things...

1. One of the parents said that Sandusky admitted it to them that he did inexcusable things to their child.

2. Is there any chance that since McQueer's dad was there while he was a kid, that the younger McQueer was also defiled by Sandusky and in turn was mentally in a different place when he saw the incident happening?

Interesting that Rush would feel it necessary to chime in in this manner considering that similar rumors have swirled around him and his viagra fueled trips to The Dominican Republic for years.
Didn't Limbaugh claim he got stiffed in that deal?

Sandusky was noted for teaching his defense to come from behind for the win.

Too soon?

Fair trial, then a fair sentencing first?

Speaking of Ohio State...

Fickell Staying Out of Penn State Circus (O-Zone)

Luke Fickell had to know he would face at least one question about the ongoing saga at Penn State during his weekly press conference.

When it came, Ohio State?s coach was ready, and unwilling to dive under the surface of a scandal that looks to be as convoluted as it is egregious.

"No, I don't pass judgment on anything," Fickell said during his Tuesday press luncheon.

"I haven't followed it. I really don't have any comment on it."

.../cont/...

Sandusky admitted it during a conversation WHICH TWO PSU CAMPUS COPS WERE LISTENING IN ON.

God I hope not.
