While it sounds like he was an adult eyewitness that did the bare minimum in reporting up the chain of command, if I were PSU's attorney I would advise caution when it comes to firing the guy that could be seen as the whistle blower in this mess.

There's no way McQueary will be retained as the new coach - I'd be surprised if he wants to still live in the state of Pennsylvania, since there will be a lot of idiots blaming him for PSU getting all of the bad press.

The DA needs him to testify, but Penn State doesn't.

Makes Paterno's story of only hearing it was a boy being touched inappropriately even more unbelievable. Those University cops had to pass that down the chain. No one can be 100% sure about anything anymore, that's what adds to the fuckedupitude of it. I can say that regardless of where or when this took place, I would be calling for the same things. There are shitheads in every organization...but that many shitheads in key positions, such that NO ONE does anything? One would like to think not...

I don't think anyone thinks he's a pedo, but that look pretty much summarizes what he's done to himself...he obviously thought the story would come out, people would go "Huh, that's awful" and then he could go about his business getting ready for Nebraska like nothing had ever happened.
