Disgraced Former Penn State DC Jerry Sandusky (convicted child molester)

Joe must go..but to all college football fans out there are you 100% sure your University would've done the right thing in the same situation?

With all due respect, what the fuck does that have to do with this? I'm not sure if you're suggesting we take it easy on Penn State, or what. This post sucks.

While it sounds like he was an adult eyewitness that did the bare minimum in reporting up the chain of command, if I were PSU's attorney I would advise caution when it comes to firing the guy that could be seen as the whistle blower in this mess.

There's no way McQueary will be retained as the new coach - I'd be surprised if he wants to still live in the state of Pennsylvania, since there will be a lot of idiots blaming him for PSU getting all of the bad press.

The DA needs him to testify, but Penn State doesn't.

Sandusky admitted it during a conversation WHICH TWO PSU CAMPUS COPS WERE LISTENING IN ON.

Makes Paterno's story of only hearing it was a boy being touched inappropriately even more unbelievable. Those University cops had to pass that down the chain. If they didn't, this is one huge ass cover up. Bigger than anyone thought. For what? What did Sandusky have on them to cover all of this up?

Yeah, the 'everybody does it' and the 'our school would've done the same thing' argument doesn't work in this situation..

No one can be 100% sure about anything anymore, that's what adds to the fuckedupitude of it. I can say that regardless of where or when this took place, I would be calling for the same things. There are shitheads in every organization...but that many shitheads in key positions, such that NO ONE does anything? One would like to think not...

This all happened BECAUSE of the football program. It was enabled BECAUSE of the football program. It was covered up BECAUSE of the football program. Burn them all.

No it happened because Penn State University has become a closed society essentially run by a single family with little to no outside input.

What happened in New Rome is a closer parallel than the typical university athletic department.

Yeah, that part of the story doesn't make sense, protecting one man at the risk of the whole school?

For those who compare this to Tat gate and which is worse ..we are talking Child rape..using Child Rape to paint what JT and tOSU did as less Bad is insane to me..whether your an internet poster or an ESPN talking ass..they should never be in the same story much less paragraph..They need to clean house at PSU a culture change is needed..how could Joe continue to allow Sandusky to bring kids on campus..

Looks like a zombie. Wait, cross that, kinda looks like a pedophile..

I don't think anyone thinks he's a pedo, but that look pretty much summarizes what he's done to himself...he obviously thought the story would come out, people would go "Huh, that's awful" and then he could go about his business getting ready for Nebraska like nothing had ever happened. I don't know if I have ever witnessed a greater misjudgement of public reaction in history.

I would have thought SOMEBODY at ANY university would have done the right thing. The breadth and depth of evil necessary for so many people to allow such harm to children would be shocking wherever it happened.

Wait!? Now Joe Pa witnessed the raping himself? This story isn't adding up.. very similar to the Ohio State 'scandals' of the last 10 years.

Please stop posting your stupidity in this thread. At least until you've read the 23-page grand jury document and listened to the 36 minute WFAN youtube that have been posted in here.

Seriously, I'm ready to ban you for sheer stupidity, because you're lowering the entire level of discussion on an important topic, and by doing so, detracting from BP.
