Not announcing until Under Armour game
Three weeks ago, Jayson Oweh announced that he’d make his college decision at the Under-Armour All-American game in January. This weekend, Cleveland (Ohio) Heights standout Tyreke Smith told Land of 10 he’s doing the same thing.

“I’ve decided, to commit at the Under-Armour game,” he told Land of 10.

Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama and USC are among the schools hoping for good news from Smith. The game is set for 6 p.m. Jan. 4, 2018. It will take place at Camping World Stadium in Orlando and will air on ESPN2.

Let's hope Tyreke is playing games with these knuckleheads and their CBs.

His commit date is January 4th so quite some time until then.

Franklin is telling Tyreke that Larry Johnson is going to retire soon.

Alot of false stuff and negative recruiting by Franklin but that's who he is.

Have to keep in mind two things: Smith is a California transplant who didn't exactly grow up dreaming of playing for tOSU. And we're absolutely stacked at his position with 5* guys on the bench, whereas Ped St's bench is a lot less crowded at DE. No inside knowledge on my part, but I'm guessing those two things are huge factors. And to a lesser extent, their recent onfield success. I'm hoping the kid comes here as well, but at least he'd stay in the B1G otherwise.

The worst thing that fans can ever do, is expect kids to commit and sign with their schools just because they live in that state. It's equal parts arrogance and ignorance to think just because a kid is from CA for example, and you're a USC fan, that you can't understand that the kid would want to leave and play in another state. Like has been stated, not only has PED been in the race longer, but he's not originally from OH, which changes his recruitment entirely! And also, every kid from OH doesn't grow up dreaming to play for OSU(crazy, I know). And I'm also sure the depth chart may not be so appealing to him either. And let's also not forget, Franklin is doing a hell of a job in Sad Valley! Not just on the recruiting trail but also on the field. Sometimes those scarlet colored glasses need to be pulled down a little...

Alot of misinformation here by tonystarx (who has a harbot photo).
The Buckeyes are NOT stacked at DE.
The Buckeyes are losing Tyquan Lewis, Jalyn Holmes & Sam Hubbard (early to NFL) after this season.
The starting top 3 DEs will be gone, no depth and why the Buckeyes are recruiting that position hard.

Meanwhile, it is PSU that has more DEs returning next year and already have two DEs commits for 2018.

Don't let the facts get in the way of the truth.
